Archroma: Leadership and organizational changes

Rajiv Sharma has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Archroma with key responsibility for the Textile Effects business, effective October 1, 2024. Current Group CEO Mark Garrett will transition to the Archroma Board of Directors.

Rajiv Sharma comes to Archroma following a 14-year tenure with Coats Group plc, where he was Group Chief Executive for the last eight years. As head of the UK-listed company, which is the world leader in thread manufacturing and structural components for apparel and footwear, Mr. Sharma created a platform for profitable growth and shaped a company culture based on customer centricity, innovation, digitalization and sustainability.

Packaging Technologies has also delivered substantial growth with more dedicated leadership over the past two years and the organizational changes will help both Textile Effects and Packaging Technologies continue to focus on best serving their respective customers and markets.

ReHubs elects Board of Directors

ReHubs announces the election of its Board of Directors. The election came during the ReHubs Annual Event, this year hosted by Coleo in Barcelona, in which they presented their new Recycling Sorting Facility, prompted through their partnership with ReHubs.

The elected Board of Directors, comprising experienced and diverse industry leaders from ReHubs partner organisations, will support Executive Director Chris Deloof in developing ReHubs' capacity-building and knowledge-sharing projects. The Board includes; Acerina Trejo Machin (Resortecs), Alain Poincheval (Reju), Anna Pehrsson (TEXAID), Bouraoui Kechiche (DECATHLON), Carl Baekelandt (Concordia Textiles / PurFi), David Puyuelo Huguet (Coleo), Dirk Vantyghem (EURATEX), Félix Poza Peña (INDITEX), Mariska Boer (Boer Group), Outi Luukko (Rester), Véronique Allaire Spitzer (Refashion).

The pre-opening of Coleo’s innovative facility in Mataró was a highlight, showcasing their latest advancements in textile sorting and recycling.

Stahl: Thierry Vanlancker joins as non-Executive Board Director

Stahl, a provider of speciality coatings and treatments for flexible substrates, has appointed former AkzoNobel CEO Thierry Vanlancker as a Non-Executive Director to its Board.

As a Non-Executive Board Director, Mr Vanlancker will provide valuable oversight, advice and strategic guidance to Stahl’s leadership, supporting the company’s position as a leader in speciality coatings and treatments for flexible substrates.

From 2017 to 2022 Mr Vanlancker served as CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of AkzoNobel NV. Prior to his tenure at Akzo he held several senior positions in Europe and the US at Dupont.

Mr Vanlancker also serves as Chairman of the Board at Sika and as Non Executive Board Director at Aliaxis and Etex. He brings over 30 years of experience in the  speciality coatings and chemicals industries and holds a Master's degree in chemical engineering from Ghent University.

He was then appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Group in 1994, a position he held until 2016, when he was appointed Executive Vice President.

NCTO elects new Chairman and Vice Chairman

The National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO), representing the full spectrum of U.S. textiles from fiber through finished sewn products, held its officer elections for fiscal year 2024 at its annual meeting April 9-11.
NCTO has elected Charles Heilig, President of Parkdale Mills, as Chairman; and Chuck Hall, President and CEO of Barnet, as Vice Chairman.

In addition to the appointment of a new chairman and vice chairman, NCTO elected chairs for each of its five councils. NCTO is comprised of five councils to ensure a broad representation of the industry supply chain. Each council has an allotted number of members who are elected to the association’s Board of Directors, in addition to the Executive Committee.

Elected as NCTO Chairman and Vice Chairman for 2024:

Der erfahrene Manager wird den Lenzing-Vorstand verstärken und die Weiterentwicklung und Umsetzung des Performance-Programms verantworten. Das bestehende Performance-Programm der Lenzing AG wurde vom Vorstand im Herbst 2023 erfolgreich initiiert und fokussiert auf positiven Free Cashflow, gestärktes Umsatz- und Margenwachstum sowie nachhaltige Kostenexzellenz. INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, announced the election of five new members to serve on its 2024 Board of Directors. The Board of Directors play a key role in advancing INDA’s strategic objectives, actively supporting both the industry and the membership. Their primary responsibility lies in ensuring that INDA remains responsive to the evolving needs of its members and the broader nonwovens industry, guiding the formulation of policies and programs.

The five new Board members include:

Jennifer Maag wird an der ordentlichen Generalversammlung vom 17. April 2024 zur Wahl als Verwaltungsrätin vorgeschlagen. Frau Maag, gebürtige US-Amerikanerin, besitzt die Schweizer und deutsche Staatsbürgerschaft und hat einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Volkswirtschaftslehre von der University of California, Berkeley (USA). Zurzeit ist Frau Maag Mitglied des Verwaltungsrats der Kardex Holding AG, Zürich, der Weidmann Holding AG, Rapperswil, der VT5 Acquisition Company AG, Pfäffikon (SZ) und der Nova Property Fund Management AG, Pfäffikon (SZ). 1999 gründete Jennifer Maag die Capital Concepts International AG, Zürich (Schweiz), eine Beratungsboutique für Merger & Acquisitions, und ist bis heute deren geschäftsführende Partnerin. Von 1996 bis 1999 war sie als Senior Managerin im Bereich Corporate Finance bei KPMG AG in Zürich tätig. Zuvor war sie in der Wirtschaftsprüfung bei Deloitte in München (Deutschland) und Zürich und schloss in dieser Zeit ihre Ausbildung zum Certified Public Accountant (CPA) ab.

Solvay announces Board of Directors for standalone SYENSQO

Solvay announced the future Board of Directors of SYENSQO, effective upon completion of the planned separation of Solvay into two companies – SOLVAY and SYENSQO – which is on track to be completed in December 2023.

SYENSQO’s Board will be composed of 10 members, including 6 independent members, 3 members representing the reference shareholder, Solvac, and the company CEO. They have deep expertise in specialty industries, international business operations, risk management, corporate governance, finance and clean technology.

The following individuals will serve on the SYENSQO Board of Directors:
Rosemary Thorne will serve as independent Director and Chair of the SYENSQO Board, as well as Chair of the Board’s Finance Committee. She is currently an Independent Director on the Solvay Board of Directors, appointed in 2014, and Chair of the Board’s Audit Committee. She is also an Independent Director on the Board of Merrill Lynch International (UK), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank of America, serving as Chair of the Audit Committee. Ms. Thorne has decades of financial leadership experience across a wide range of industries. She previously served as Chief Financial Officer at J. Sainsbury, the UK’s largest supermarket chain at the time; Bradford & Bingley; and Ladbrokes. Ms. Thorne previously sat as an Independent Director on the Boards of Royal Mail Group, Cadbury Schweppes, Santander UK, First Global Trust Bank and Smurfit Kappa Group.

Dr. Ilham Kadri will serve as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of SYENSQO. She is currently CEO and President of the Executive Committee at Solvay. Ms. Kadri has successfully led the turnaround of Solvay, delivering double-digit EBITDA growth and 18 consecutive quarters of positive free cash flow, deleveraging the balance sheet and promoting superior people engagement. She is an independent Board member at A.O. Smith and L’Oréal. She is active in non-profit organizations, as Chair of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), member of the steering committee of the European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT) as well as a permanent member of the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council (WEF). Ms. Kadri has extensive leadership experience across a variety of industries in four continents and with leading industrial multinationals, including Shell, UCB, Huntsman, Dow, Sealed Air. Prior to Solvay, she was CEO and President of Diversey in the USA, led the company’s return to profitability and resulting spin off and divestiture to Bain Capital. She founded two non-Profit foundations: the Solvay Solidarity Fund in Belgium in 2020 which supported more than 7000 families affected by Covid-19 and natural disasters; and founded the ISSA Hygieia Network in 2015 in the USA, to help women in the cleaning industry. She received two Doctor Honoris Clausa from EWHA University in Korea and Université de Namur in Belgium.

Julian Waldron will serve as independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee. He currently serves as Deputy Executive Chairman of privately-held Albea Group, a global beauty and personal care packaging company which operates 35 facilities in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Mr. Waldron has held senior leadership roles at several leading listed companies in the industrial, technology and services sectors and brings a wealth of expertise in finance and business operations. Prior to joining Albea in 2022, he was Chief Financial Officer of Suez for three years after serving as Chief Financial Officer and subsequently Chief Operating Officer of Technip. He started his career at UBS Warburg where he spent 14 years. Mr. Waldron also served as an independent Board member and Chairman of finance, risk and investments at Carbon Clean, a privately-owned carbon capture company dedicated to achieving net zero.

Heike Van de Kerkhof will serve as independent Director and Chair of the Nomination Committee. She currently sits on the Board of OCI N.V.. Ms. Van de Kerkhof brings more than 30 years of experience in the chemicals, oil & gas and materials industries, having served in numerous leadership roles around the globe. From 2020 to 2023, she was Chief Executive Officer of Archroma Management, a global specialty chemicals company. During her tenure, she successfully completed the transformational acquisition of Huntsman’s Textile Effects business. Prior to her role at Archroma, Ms. Van de Kerkhof served as Vice President of Lubricants, Western Hemisphere at BP, and held positions at Castrol, The Chemours Company, and Neste Corporation. She also held many leading roles within DuPont over 18 years.

Matti Lievonen will serve as independent Director and Chair of the Compensation Committee. He is currently an independent director on the Solvay Board, appointed in 2017. Mr. Lievonen is a proven executive in the energy, forestry, power and automation industries with an extensive track record of leading businesses through climate transition. For over ten years until 2018, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Neste Corporation, a global leader in next-generation renewable fuels and chemicals. During his time at Neste, Mr. Lievonen successfully promoted the development of clean fuels as well as Finland’s bioeconomy strategy in advancing renewable transportation fuels. He has also been involved with organizations such as Fortum Board, SSAB, Nynäs AB, Ilmarinen, and the HE Finnish Fair Foundation. Until 2021, Mr. Lievonen was also Chairman of the Board of Directors at Fortum. He has been recognized for his admirable leadership and expertise, and in 2016 was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Technology by the Aalto University Schools of Technology.

Dr. Françoise de Viron will serve as non-independent Director, Chair of the ESG Committee and Vice-Chair of the Board. She is currently a director of the Solvay Board, appointed in 2013. Ms. de Viron is a regarded academic leader and has extensive experience in innovation, R&D and qualitative research. She is a Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences and Louvain School of Management at UCLouvain in Belgium where she has been an Academic Member of various groups at UCLouvain. Ms. de Viron previously served as the president of AISBL EUCEN – the European Universities Continuing Education Network. Prior to her university position, from 1985 to 2000, she was in charge of developing Artificial Intelligence applications at Tractebel S.A. (now Tractebel-Engie).

Roeland Baan will serve as independent Director. He currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Topsoe, a privately-held leading provider of clean energy and petrochemical technologies. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SBM Offshore NV. Roeland Baan has extensive experience in supply chain management, M&A, business development and operations management. Prior to joining Topsoe in 2020, he was President and CEO of Outokumpu and has held several executive roles at global organizations such as Aleris International, ArcelorMittal and SHV NV. He spent over 16 years in various roles across the globe at Shell, living in South America, in Africa and in the United Kingdom.

Edouard Janssen will serve as non-independent Director. He is currently a Director on the Solvay Board, appointed in 2021. Earlier this year, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of D’Ieteren Group, a European leader in automotive distribution services. Mr. Janssen is also a Board member of privately-held Financière de Tubize and Union Financière Boël, as well as Co-Founder and Chair of Trusted Family. Mr. Janssen is active in academics, as Vice-Chair of the International Advisory Board of the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and on the advisory board of the INSEAD HGIBS. He brings expertise in finance, strategy, entrepreneurship, business management, planning and marketing. He has served as Solvay’s Vice President in strategy and M&A between 2019 and 2021, and prior to that, he was the US-based General Manager for North- and Latin America at Solvay’s Aroma Performance Global Business Unit.
 
Dr. Mary Meaney will serve as non-independent Director. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors and of the Audit Committee of Groupe Bruxelles Lambert SA. She also sits on the Board of Directors and the Remuneration Committee of Beamery, the privately-held talent management company. She is a member of the Board of Directors and of the Finance Committee of Imperial College, London.Dr. Meaney will bring expertise in Strategy, M&A, and change management, which she acquired over a 24-year career at McKinsey. She was a Senior Partner, served on the McKinsey Shareholders Council and led McKinsey’s global Organization practice.

Nadine Leslie will serve as independent Director and is based in the United States of America. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Provident Financial Services , as well as a Non-Executive Director of Seven Seas Water Corporation, a water and wastewater treatment multinational company. She also sits on the Board of Trustees of Hackensack Meridian Health Network and is active as strategic consultant for civil engineering firm T&M Associates. Over a 22-year career at Suez, Ms. Leslie held several leadership positions, the last one being Chief Executive Officer of Suez North America, until 2022. Previously she served as Executive Vice President Health & Safety.

IVC-Vorstand: Stefan Braun folgt auf Klaus Holz

Neuer Vorsitzender der Industrievereinigung Chemiefaser e. V. ist Stefan Braun, Geschäftsführer der Indorama Ventures Mobility Obernburg GmbH.

Braun, der das Amt zwischen 2014 und 2020 bereits zweimal ausgeübt hatte, wurde im Juni 2023 auf der IVC-Jahresmitgliederversammlung in Lenzing, Österreich, gewählt. Klaus Holz, Geschäftsführer der Indorama Ventures Fibers Germany GmbH, stand nach einer Amtszeit als IVC-Vorsitzender und zwei vorangegangenen Amtsperioden als stellvertretender Vorsitzender für eine Wiederwahl nicht mehr zur Verfügung.

Zum Stellvertreter bestimmte die IVC-Mitgliederversammlung Dieter Feldmann, Geschäftsführer der CERDIA Produktions GmbH. Er folgt auf Werner Häller, COO der Monosuisse AG, der für diese Position nicht mehr kandidierte. Der bisherige Schatzmeister der IVC, Dr. Till Boldt, Geschäftsführer der ENKA International Lux SE & Co. KG, wurde in seinem Amt für die fünfte Amtszeit in Folge bestätigt.

Karine Calvet and Pierre-Yves Roussel join Lectra’s Board of Directors

Lectra’s Annual Shareholders’ Meeting held on April 28 appointed two new Directors, Karine Calvet and Pierre-Yves Roussel for a four-year term. They both will become members of the Strategic Committee, replacing Bernard Jourdan, Lead Director, and Anne Binder. Karine Calvet also becomes a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee.

With its new strategic roadmap for 2023-2025, the Group aims to use its expansion – mainly due to the acquisition of Gerber in June 2021 – to accelerate its growth, significantly increase the share of SaaS in its sales, and seize opportunities for external growth. Karine Calvet is Vice-President EMEA responsible for Partners at AVEVA, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric. She began her career at CGI in 1993 and has spent most of it in IT: sixteen years in services companies, seven years in telecommunications, and six years in software. She has had leadership roles in telecommunications environments for leading global companies (CGI, Capgemini, Alcatel-Lucent, Verizon, Microsoft and currently Schneider-Aveva), focusing on digital transformation. Karine Calvet served as Head of Industry at Capgemini, then managed worldwide teams at Alcatel-Lucent as Vice-President, Eastern Europe then at Verizon as Managing Director. Her time at Microsoft strengthened her software expertise, her direct and indirect channels skills, and her experience in IT services. In the last two years, as Vice-President, Southern Europe then Vice-President, Partners and Alliances at Schneider-Aveva, Karine Calvet has worked closely with industrial companies to help them meet the challenges of operational efficiency, safety, cost management, sustainability and decarbonization by taking advantage of digitalization.

Pierre-Yves Roussel has been CEO of leading US fashion label Tory Burch since January 2019. He began his career in investment banking with HSBC in Brussels, then at Morgan Stanley in London. In 1990, he joined management consulting firm McKinsey & Company in France, where he led numerous consultancy assignments in the fashion, luxury, distribution and media sectors in Europe and Asia. In 1998, he was elected Partner then, in 2004, Global Senior Partner (Director). In 2004, he joined the LVMH Group Executive Committee as Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Operations, reporting directly to Bernard Arnault. In 2006, he was appointed Chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group, one of the LVMH Group’s five branches of operational activity. From 2006 to 2018, he was Chairman of the Board of the brands Céline, Givenchy, Loewe, Kenzo, Pucci, Rossimoda, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Berluti, JW Anderson and Nicolas Kirkwood. He has also been a member on several prestigious fashion juries including Andam, CFDA Fashion Incubator, and the LVMH Fashion Prize. He was a member of the management committee of the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode et de la Couture from 2010 to 2018. In 2018, he left the LVMH Group to take up the post of CEO – based in New York – of the company Tory Burch. Founded by his wife in 2004, the private family-run company has more than 350 stores worldwide, 13 retail websites, and nearly 5,000 employees.

Michael Dowse joins Hypetex Board

UK advanced materials and technology firm Hypetex, a manufacturer of coloured carbon fibre, has appointed Michael Dowse as a Non-Executive Director and Board Member.

Dowse brings experiences across sport and retail, following leadership roles at some of the biggest sports organisations and companies in the world. He was a Global Director for Nike before becoming President and General Manager Outdoor Americas for Amer Sports, managing brands such as Salomon, Arc’Teryx and Suunto.

As President of Wilson Sporting Goods (2013-2019), Dowse led 1,500+ colleagues in delivering the company’s global strategy, corporate operations, and manufacturing across more than 160 countries. He then took up the position of Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the United States Tennis Association (2020-2022).

Dowse will join a group of advisors at Hypetex, which includes Board Chairman Neil MacDougall and former Diageo Chief Financial Officer Nick Rose. They will support CEO Marc Cohen and Chief Technology Officer Nigel Dunlea as they continue to expand the company’s presence in sport and other sectors worldwide.

INDA: Six New Members to the 2023 Board of Directors

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, welcomes six new members to its 2023 Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are responsible for contributing to INDA’s strategic focus in support of the industry. They inform INDA’s policies and programs to ensure the association meets the needs of their more than 360 corporate members.

The Board is comprised of elected Board Officers. One-third of the entire Board is elected each year for a three-year term by a majority vote of INDA’s general membership. INDA’s Executive Committee, empowered to act on behalf of the Board between meetings, consists of the Board Officers plus four appointees.

Ricardo Fasolo, Managing Vice President, Fitesa Inc.
Ricardo Fasolo is Managing Vice President for Fitesa in North America. He is responsible for all operations, sales, business development and P&L activities for the region. Mr. Fasolo has been with Fitesa since 2005. During this period, he has worked in various roles from leading the supply chain management in Latin America to Sales in the USA. Prior to joining Fitesa, Mr. Fasolo worked for a Tier 1 OEM supplier responsible for producing assisted steering gear systems.

Neil Johnson, President, AstenJohnson
Neil Johnson is President of AJ Nonwovens, a division of AstenJohnson Holdings, a multinational private technical textiles company. AJ Nonwovens is a newly branded entity that includes Foss Performance Materials, Eagle Nonwovens, and a new greenfield site in Waco, Texas. As President, Mr. Johnson has responsibility for all aspects of AstenJohnson’s Nonwovens business. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Johnson regularly updates the Board of Directors on matters of strategic significance and has a proven track record of leadership and broad business experience.
Mr. Johnson has spent 33 years with AstenJohnson in a variety of roles. These include VP of business development, VPHR, and General Management. A dual US / Canadian citizen, he has lived and worked in both countries and had global leadership responsibility. Outside of work, Mr. Johnson has had experience on several boards.  He has served as treasurer of a $10 million charitable foundation, served as President of the Board for a large non-profit in Charleston, SC and served on the Board of the Charleston youth hockey league. Mr. Johnson graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada with a Bachelor of Commerce and an International MBA from the University of South Carolina.

Chris Roeder, Director – Strategy, Marketing & Innovation, Global Cellulose Fibers, International Paper
Chris Roeder joined International Paper (IP) in 1996 in Kansas City, MO, as an engineer for IP’s Consumer Packaging business. Over the next 20 years, Mr. Roeder held a variety of leadership roles with increasing responsibility in Beverage Packaging, Foodservice and Coated Paperboard, where he focused on business and product development as well as sales management. In 2016, Mr. Roeder was named Marketing Director for IP’s Containerboard business and was responsible for a number of key strategic initiatives.
In 2020, he was named Regional General Manager for IP’s North American Container business, and later that same year, he was named Director – Strategy, Marketing & Innovation for IP’s Global Cellulose Fibers business. In his current role, Mr. Roeder is responsible for collaborating across the business and enterprise to develop IP’s go-to-market strategy. He and his team work closely with the Sales team to drive successful innovations for IP’s customers.

Paul E. Rollin, Jr., Ph.D., Senior Principal – Global Hygiene, ExxonMobil Product Solutions Company
Paul Rollin earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and his Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Rollin began his career with E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. developing “Flashspun” nonwoven products in the Tyvek® Business. He later transferred from Richmond, VA to Old Hickory, TN where he provided technical support to manufacturing, as well as led product development efforts for bi-component spunmelt fibers and fabrics.
For the past 11 years, Dr. Rollin has worked for ExxonMobil in Baytown, TX. During this time, his roles and responsibilities have included developing new products based on polyolefin resins, customer and application development. In 2018, he became the Global Nonwovens Team Lead at ExxonMobil. Dr. Rollin has several patents and has contributed to the nonwovens industry for more than 24 years.

Jodi Russell, Vice President R&D, Cleaning Innovation, Packaging & Sustainability, The Clorox Company
Jodi Russell has spent 25 years leading global innovation across multiple categories in the consumer-packaged goods industry. She began her career at P&G after graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. Chemical Engineering, and has continued for 20 years at Clorox creating consumer-winning products in Cleaning, Foods, Litter, Trash, Natural Personal Care and Water Filtration. Ms. Russell is an innovation leader, with a proven track record of driving profitable growth, with current R&D responsibility for >$2B product portfolio including the company’s flagship Clorox Bleach™ and Clorox Disinfecting Wipes™ businesses. Ms. Russell excels in setting vision for R&D that leads to breakthroughs and in collaborating with industry partners to create leading edge technology for the Clorox global portfolio.

Julie Schertell is Mativ’s President and Chief Executive Officer and serves on its Board of Directors. As the former Neenah Inc. Chief Executive Officer, she held numerous leadership positions within the company over the last 14 years, including Chief Operations Officer, Segment President of Technical Products and Fine Paper & Packaging and Vice President and General Manager of Fine Paper & Packaging.
Ms. Schertell began her career at Georgia-Pacific in 1992 as a Cost Analyst in a plant supporting Consumer Products. She served in several roles over her 16-year career there, all within the Consumer Products Division, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing Strategy, Vice President of Supply Chain, Director of Sales Operations and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Ms. Schertell graduated from Florida State University’s College of Business in 1991 with a BA in Accounting and received her MAcc degree from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in 1992.

Trützschler Group SE erweitert Vorstand

Die Trützschler Group SE hat mit Wirkung zum 01. Juli 2022 ihren Vorstand erweitert. Neu in den Vorstand eingetreten sind Dr. Ulrich Schwenken (Titelbild links) als Chief Executive Officer (CEO) und Heinrich Krull (Titelbild rechts) als Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Dr. Schwenken wird die Bereiche Entwicklung, Digitalisierung, IT und Unternehmenskommunikation verantworten. Als promovierter Diplom-Ingenieur verfügt er über langjährige Erfahrung im Automobil- und Maschinenbau. Seit 2008 übernahm Dr. Schwenken verschiedene Führungspositionen in den Bereichen Service, Vertrieb und Entwicklung, zum Beispiel bei der Porsche AG und der Volkswagen AG, wo unter anderem das Thema digitale Transformation zu seinen Schwerpunkten zählte. Zuletzt war Dr. Schwenken als CSO, CTO und CDO bei der Leistritz AG tätig. Dort verantwortete er die strategische Ausrichtung auf innovative Wachstumsfelder.

Herr Krull ist seit September 2020 für Trützschler tätig. Als Diplom-Ingenieur für Produktionstechnik und -management mit internationaler Berufserfahrung im Maschinen- und Anlagenbau verfügt er über ein umfassendes Fachwissen im Bereich Operations. Er besitzt weitreichende Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet der Produktionstechnologien sowie fundierte Kenntnisse entsprechender Lean-Management-Methoden und Expertise im Bereich Post-Merger-Integration. Als COO wird er für die Themen Produktion, Einkauf und Logistik, Qualitätssicherung sowie Supply Chain verantwortlich sein.

Bis zu seinem geplanten Ausscheiden Ende 2022 wird Dr. Dirk Burger die Rolle des Co-CEO von Dr. Schwenken übernehmen.

Die Zuständigkeiten des Vorstandes der Trützschler Group SE sind ab dem 1. Juli 2022 wie folgt: Dr. Ulrich Schwenken (CEO) verantwortet die Bereiche Entwicklung, Digitalisierung, IT und Unternehmenskommunikation; Dr. Dirk Burger übernimmt bis Ende 2022 die Rolle des Co-CEO von Dr. Schwenken; Dr. Ralf Napiwotzki (CFO) verantwortet die Bereiche Finanzen und Controlling, Personal, Recht und Compliance; Alexander Stampfer (CSO) verantwortet die Bereiche Vertrieb, Marketing und Service; Heinrich Krull (COO) verantwortet die Bereiche Produktion, Einkauf und Logistik, Qualitätssicherung sowie Supply Chain.

Sarah Kreienbühl ist seit 2018 Mitglied der Generaldirektion des Migros-Genossenschafts-Bundes und führt unter anderem Human Resources und die Kommunikation der Migros-Gruppe. Zuvor war sie 14 Jahre bei Sonova als Group VP Corporate Human Resources tätig und verantwortete ab 2012 dort auch den Bereich Corporate Communications. Sarah Kreienbühl hat die Schweizer und französische Staatsangehörigkeit und einen Abschluss in Psychologie der Universität Zürich. Sie wird mit ihrer Expertise und langjährigen Führungserfahrung aus dem Verwaltungsrat heraus einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Personalpolitik von Rieter leisten können.

Daniel Grieder ist seit Juni 2021 CEO der in Metzingen (Deutschland) ansässigen HUGO BOSS AG. Er ist seit über 35 Jahren erfolgreich in der Textilbranche tätig: Zunächst von 1985 bis 2004 als selbständiger Unternehmer mit einer eigenen Vertriebsagentur, die ab 1997 für Tommy Hilfiger tätig war. 2004 stieg er bei Tommy Hilfiger direkt ein und war von 2010 bis 2020 zusätzlich in verschiedenen Positionen bei PVH tätig. Zuletzt zeichnete er als Global CEO Tommy Hilfiger und CEO PVH Europe verantwortlich. Daniel Grieder ist Schweizer Staatsbürger und hat an der Höheren Wirtschafts- und Verwaltungsschule Zürich studiert.

Veränderungen im Rieter-Verwaltungsrat

  • Luc Tack und Stefaan Haspeslagh treten mit sofortiger Wirkung zurück

Die beiden Verwaltungsräte Luc Tack und Stefaan Haspeslagh haben am 30. August 2021 mitgeteilt, dass sie mit sofortiger Wirkung aus dem Verwaltungsrat von Rieter zurücktreten.

Rieter wird gegenüber den Strafverfolgungsbehörden mitteilen, dass kein weiteres Interesse an der Fortführung des Strafverfahrens besteht.

Der Verwaltungsrat begrüsst, dass im Interesse von Rieter und Picanol, die beide zu den weltweit führenden Textilmaschinenherstellern zählen, eine gemeinsame Lösung gefunden wurde.

Die Picanol-Gruppe (Belgien) wird nach Darstellung von Luc Tack weiterhin Aktionär von Rieter bleiben.

Wie die Rieter Holding AG mittteilt, sei es im Verlauf des Erwerbs dreier Saurer-Geschäfte zu schwerwiegenden Verletzungen der gesetzlichen Treuepflicht, der Pflicht zur Wahrung von Geschäftsgeheimnissen sowie des Code of Conduct von Rieter durch zwei Verwaltungsratsmitglieder gekommen, die verwaltungsratsinterne Informationen dazu benutzt hätten, von Rieter geführte Verhandlungen durch ein eigenes Angebot zu konkurrenzieren.

Der Verwaltungsrat sehe darin eine erhebliche Verletzung der Interessen des Unternehmens zum Nachteil aller Stakeholder und eine nachhaltige Störung des Vertrauensverhältnisses innerhalb des Verwaltungsrates, die eine weitere Zusammenarbeit unmöglich machten. Daher beabsichtige der Verwaltungsrat der Rieter Holding AG, eine ausserordentliche Generalversammlung einzuberufen, um die betreffenden Verwaltungsräte abzuberufen und zum Schutz der Interessen des Unternehmens gegen sie Strafanzeige einzureichen.
