Der Geschäftsbereich Polymer Processing Solutions des Schweizer Oerlikon Konzerns präsentiert sich auf der ITME 2022 unter dem Motto "From Melt to Yarn, Fibers and Nonwovens". Die internationale Fachmesse findet im India Exposition Mart Ltd, Noida, in der Nähe von Neu Delhi, Indien, statt. Zwischen dem 8. und 13. Dezember dieses Jahres werden mehr als 1800 Aussteller und über 150.000 Besucher erwartet. Oerlikon wird eine breite Palette von Produkten und Dienstleistungen präsentieren, die sich auf die Herstellung und Verarbeitung von Chemiefasern konzentrieren.

Neben verschiedenen neuen Komponentenexponaten aus den Bereichen kontinuierliche Polykondensation einschließlich Zahnraddosierpumpen, Filament- (POY, FDY, IDY, BCF) und Stapelfaserspinnerei, Texturierung sowie Vliesstoffherstellung soll der Dialog nach fast sechs Jahren ohne ITME in Indien wieder im Mittelpunkt des Messegeschehens stehen.

Für Oerlikon ist dies der dritte Auftritt in der Region im vierten Quartal diesen Jahres, nachdem im November zwei Kundenveranstaltungen in Daman, Indien, und Dhaka, Bangladesch, stattfanden. Indien und Bangladesch zeichnen sich derzeit noch durch ihr Investitionsverhalten aus und bieten gute Chancen für weitere Projekte in der Polymerverarbeitung.

Indien verzeichnet aktuell ein überdurchschnittliches Wirtschaftswachstum mit einem Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) von 6,8% für 2022. Experten sprechen von einem "Lichtblick in einer globalen Tristesse": Die indische Textilindustrie ist eine der größten der Welt mit einer großen Rohstoffbasis und einer starken Produktion in der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette.

Indien ist weltweit:

• der zweitgrößte Produzent von MMF-Fasern und der sechstgrößte Exporteur von Textilien und Bekleidung.
• der zweitgrößte Hersteller von persönlicher Schutzausrüstungen (PSA).
• der sechstgrößte Hersteller von technischen Textilien mit einem globalen Anteil von 6 % (12 % CAGR) und der größte Produzent von Baumwolle und Jute in der Welt.

Die Branche trägt wertmäßig zu 7 % der Industrieproduktion, zu 2 % des indischen BIP und zu 12 % der Exporteinnahmen des Landes bei. Der Anteil von Textilien, Bekleidung und Kunsthandwerk an den indischen Gesamtexporten lag 2021-22 bei 10,62 %. Die Textilindustrie in Indien ist einer der größten Wirtschaftssektoren, der am meisten zur Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen im Land beiträgt, ihr Anteil macht ca. 10,28 % an der Gesamtbeschäftigung aus. Die inländische Bekleidungs- und Textilindustrie in Indien trägt 2,3 % zum BIP des Landes bei und macht wertmäßig 7 % der Industrieproduktion aus. Die inländische Textil- und Bekleidungsindustrie hatte im Jahr 2021 ein Volumen von 152 Mrd. USD.

"Das größte Wachstum der Textilindustrie wird von der Chemiefaserindustrie ausgehen", sagte Shri Piyush Goyal, Unionsminister für Textilien, Verbraucherangelegenheiten, Lebensmittel und öffentliche Verteilung sowie Handel und Industrie, Ende Oktober in Indien. Er schlug vor, dass die Industrie einander verstehen und in Synergie arbeiten sollte, um die Probleme zwischen den Herstellern und Nutzern von Polyester in der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette einvernehmlich zu lösen. Die Industrievertreter hoffen, in den nächsten 5 bis 6 Jahren ein Exportvolumen von 100 Milliarden USD zu erreichen.

Bangladesch verfügt über ein riesiges Potenzial, insbesondere für die Chemiefaserindustrie. Im so genannten Downstream (Weben, Stricken, Veredeln etc.) ist das Land bereits sehr weit fortgeschritten, was jedoch fehlt, ist eine eigene Rohstoffproduktion (MEG, PTA) und deren Verarbeitung in einer kontinuierlichen Polykondensationsanlage, wie sie von Oerlikon geliefert wird. Mit Modern Syntex wird derzeit in Chittagong, Bangladesch, unter Oerlikon Leitung die erste "From Melt to Yarn and Fibers"-Anlage gebaut.

Bangladesch ist mit mehr als 164 Millionen Einwohnern das bevölkerungsreichste Land der Welt. Damit ist es eines der am dichtesten besiedelten Länder der Welt. Die Wirtschaft des aufstrebenden Landes wächst rasant weiter, auch während der Covid-19-Pandemie, und die Armutsquote konnte seit 2000 halbiert werden. Bis 2026 wird Bangladesch offiziell den Status eines am wenigsten entwickelten Landes (Least Developed Country, LDC) verlassen haben, und bis 2041 will das Land zu einem Industrieland mit hohem Einkommen (High Income Industrialized Country, HIC) werden.

Bangladeschs wirtschaftlicher Erfolg beruht vor allem auf seiner Textilindustrie, die 10 % des Bruttosozialprodukts und 80 % der Exporterlöse erwirtschaftet. Das Land ist der weltweit zweitgrößte Exporteur von Textilien.

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry convened 500 absorbent hygiene and personal care professionals from 30 countries and throughout the supply chain to participate in the eighth edition of Hygienix™ – the premier event for absorbent hygiene & personal care markets – held in New Orleans, Louisiana, Nov. 14-17.

The program kicked off with recycling approaches for disposable absorbent hygiene waste, followed by business impacts of period product legislation and regulation, new menstrual products, consumer trends, and three finalist presentations for the 2022 Hygienix Innovation Award™.

The event also included presentations from 18 other industry experts along with 13 hours of scheduled face-to-face networking, and 50 tabletop display exhibits and banquet receptions on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

One highlight of the event was the presentation of INDA’s prestigious Hygienix Innovation Award™ to Egal Pads for Pads on a Roll™ a wrapped super-thin absorbent period pad that dispenses like toilet paper in public bathroom stalls. The product aims to prevent the personal embarrassment of not having a menstrual product when needed.

INDA President Tony Fragnito presented the 2022 INDA Lifetime Service Award to Dave Rousse, INDA President Emeritus, for his long-established service to the nonwovens industry and INDA. Rousse led the acquisition of the INSIGHT conference, and combined the INDA Vision Conference to launch the Hygienix™ conference for the absorbent hygiene and personal care market in 2015, and initiated the purchase of INDA Media.

Hygienix™ 2023 will be held Nov 13-16, in New Orleans, Louisiana .

The Japanese textile brand ECOSENSOR™ by Asahi Kasei Advance continues its eco-high tech path and joins ISPO, the influential fashion and textile fair dedicated to sportwear and athleisure-wear, as part of an Asahi Kasei space within the ISPO Brandnew area, presenting its AW 2024/2025 & SS2024 collections, made of high-tech fabrics implementing new-generation values, with the aim of keeping nature, body and mind in harmony.

2022 is a special time for Asahi Kasei as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. This year at ISPO Munich (28-30^th November), Asahi Kasei Group present its innovation world featuring three of its brands: ECOSENSOR™, ROICA™ and RespiGard™.

New this season is the application of the RespiGard™ by Polypore unique membrane designed for outdoor apparel. Its innovative pore structure is too small for water droplets to penetrate but features high porosity that allows for airflow and moisture evaporation.

In order to show at best the performances and possible applications of the fabrics made with RespiGard™, ECOSENSOR™ will feature at its ISPO space an ad hoc created outfit by the outerwear brand.

Furthermore, the majority of ECOSENSOR™ fabrics are made with sustainable ingredients which are certified by international certifications such as GRS and RCS through a traceable and transparent production process and supply chain.  100% of the stretch articles (representing 35% of the collection) are made with ROICA™ EF by Asahi Kasei, the recycled stretch yarn made from pre-consumer materials. Even the dyeing and finishing phases - key moments for performancewear - have been certified by international labels such as bluesign® or OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

Monforts will be presenting its finishing technologies at the forthcoming Igatex textile machinery exhibition, which takes place from December 1-4 at the Lahore Expo Centre in Pakistan.

The importance of the textile industry to Pakistan’s economy cannot be overstated – it accounts for 60% of the country’s overall exports and some of its industry’s players are very major employers. In the year to June 2022, Pakistan’s textile exports climbed by 25% to a record value of $19.3 billion according to the country’s Bureau of Statistics, as security of deliveries – especially to Europe and the USA – worked in the country’s favour, in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent supply chain issues. It has a key role to play in quickly getting the country back on its feet after the devastation.

These companies rely on established Monforts technologies including Montex stentering equipment, Monfortex sanforizing units and Thermex dyeing ranges. The company’s Matex Eco Applicator minimum application system has also proved a big hit in recent years.

Monforts has also achieved considerable success in Pakistan with its Econtrol®* dyeing system  – an effective and established dyeing process. More than 40 Thermex continuous dyeing ranges have been installed in Pakistan in recent years and operator training on the Econtrol®* process by sophisticated technologists is an additional service.

The Econtrol® pad-dry process has a number of immediate benefits. Compared to the common pad-dry-pad-steam process, no salt is used and no steamer is required for a separate fixation step. Compared to the pad-dry-thermofix process, no urea is used and no smoke or deposits are generated, and unlike with the cold pad batch process, direct feedback of the dyeing results ensures no batching time is necessary and guarantees good reproducibility from the lab to bulk production.

An immediate wash off is also unnecessary, allowing for flexible production planning. The process is suitable for pale to dark shades with very good fastness properties. Also waste water treatment is improved by this technology.

JIAM 2022 OSAKA, organised by the Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association (JASMA), will soon be held at INTEX OSAKA from 30 November – 3 December 2022. Under the theme of “It all connects at JIAM – the forefront of technology and master craftsmanship”, the 12th edition brings together leading sewing machine suppliers and apparel manufacturers, making it a must-attend event for textile professionals. In this era of change, an international platform to facilitate business and information exchange is essential. The 2022 edition will showcase apparel manufacturing solutions catered to each and every need, combining high-level skillsets and time-tested knowledge with the latest modern-day technology.

As of October, 144 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions (China, Greece, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand) have signed up for JIAM 2022 OSAKA to showcase their latest products and services. Of these, 39 companies (21 domestic, 18 overseas) will be joining the fair for the first time. In addition, two pavilions from Germany (VDMA; Mechanical Engineering Industry Association) and Taiwan (TSMA; Taiwan Sewing Machinery Association) will bring even more product diversity to the show floor. Home Sewing Machine Zone
Catering to the B2C market, the Home Sewing Machine Zone, will feature major domestic household sewing machine suppliers. To promote the joy of sewing, a special workshop will be organised by Brother Industries Ltd, Janome Corp, JUKI Corp and JASMA covering topics such as the use of upcycled materials. As part of JIAM 2022 OSAKA’s sustainable development goals, visitors will be taught to sew “cup sleeves” using discarded items and materials from the DIY brand WHTATNOT. Attendees will also learn about upcycling, the process of upgrading unwanted items into new products that are useful. Another highlight will be the awards for JASMA’s “42th Home Sewing Competition for Elementary, Middle, and High School Students”.

Freudenberg Performance Materials (Freudenberg) bietet ab sofort eine elastische Variante seiner flexiblen Superabsorber für moderne Wundverbände an. Sie sorgen dafür, dass die Wundverbände für Patienten komfortabler sind und länger getragen werden können. Letzteres führt dazu, dass die Wundverbände weniger oft gewechselt werden müssen. Freudenberg zeigt die elastischen Superabsorber erstmals auf der diesjährigen Compamed in Düsseldorf, vom 14. bis 17. November 2022. Weitere Highlights sind Komponenten für eine nachhaltigere Wundversorgung, PU-Schäume mit direkt aufgetragenen Silikon-Adhäsiven und ein innovativer hydrophiler Debridement-Schaum.

Bei der Herstellung der elastischen Superabsorber setzt Freudenberg eine neue Technologie ein. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Verfahren kommt diese ohne Perforation oder Schlitzen des Materials aus, was ein hohes Maß an durchgängiger Elastizität bewirkt. Zudem bindet die Freudenberg-Technologie die superabsorbierenden Fasern besser in das Material ein. Das führt zu einer besseren Integrität dieser Lage im Wundverband.

Der JEC Composites Startup Booster, führender Startup-Wettbewerb in der Welt der Verbundwerkstoffe und fortschrittlichen Materialien, geht in seine sechste Auflage. Alle Unternehmer, KMUs, Startups und akademische Ausgründungen, die innovative Verbundwerkstoff-Projekte entwickeln, internationale Sichtbarkeit erlangen und ihr Geschäft mit wichtigen Akteuren der Verbundwerkstoff-Industrie und Erstausrüstern ausbauen wollen, melden sich bereits an.

Nach dem Aufruf zur Einreichung von Bewerbungen (Frist 15. Januar 2023) werden 20 Start-ups von der JEC Group und ihren Partnern Airbus und Mercedes-Benz ausgewählt. The seamless integration with THE Laser, B.O.P. is based on the most recent developments in Computer Vision It makes positioning laser designs on garments automatic and rapid It allows a choice of different production modes and detects up to 8 garments at the same time.

Metro
Metro is a software that automatically and transparently measures the actual consumption of a laundry, summarizing these figures in each garment’s “environmental passport”.

At the show, Tonello will also demonstrate their technologies by washing the MSP Collection, in collaboration with PVH Europe, Kingpins, and designed by Piero Turk.
