The Oerlikon Nonwoven experts will be presenting efficient solutions and comprehensive technology know-how for challenging filtration tasks to an international trade audience at the FiltXPO 2020 in Chicago, USA (Stand # 420), taking place between February 26 and 28.

Meltblown technology is one of the most efficient methods for producing very fine and highly-separating filter media made from manmade fibers. New, unique and highly-sophisticated filter media are easy to manufacture thanks to Oerlikon Nonwoven’s optimized meltblown technology. This process is characterized by its constant melt pressure distribution and consistent dwell time across the entire width of the spinning beam, Furthermore, the novel guidance and distribution of the process air outside the coathanger distributor offered by the Oerlikon Nonwoven technology prevents so-called hotspots, which overall ensures particularly homogeneous nonwoven properties and basis weights even in the case of delicate raw materials.

The Oerlikon Nonwoven charging unit stands out against other concepts currently available on the market. Users can freely choose from a large number of variation possibilities and set the optimum charging method depending on the filter application, allowing the Oerlikon Nonwoven charging unit to also be used for the manufacture of EPA- and HEPA-class filter media.

The new forming section ensures improved nonwoven formation evenness across the entire width, even in the case of high spinning speeds, special polymers and polymer combinations. In addition to this, the newly-designed system also ensures that nonwovens only require minimal edge trimming at the end of the production process. The newly-developed mixedfiber technology enables the combining of various filament cross-sections and polymers, in order to set ideal filtering and pleating performances, for example.

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition will return from 24 – 26 August 2020 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA). Expertentalks, DesignDiscoveries und eine neue Messe-Publikation: Das Programm der INNATEX, die vom 18. bis 20. Januar in Hofheim-Wallau stattfindet, steht fest.

Die Bundesregierung und die internationale Staatengemeinschaft steigern zunehmend die Ansprüche in Bezug auf die unternehmerische Sorgfaltspflicht – nicht nur für große Unternehmen, sondern auch für kleine und mittelständische Produzenten und Händler. Das nehmen INNATEX Schirmherr IVN (Internationaler Verband der Naturtextilwirtschaft) und die im Auftrag des Bundesentwicklungsministeriums an den IVN entsandte EZ-Scoutin Mandy Piepke zum Anlass für eine praxisnahe Vortragsreihe auf der INNATEX.

Unter dem Titel: „Fit fürs internationale Parkett: Nachhaltigkeit in Textil-Lieferketten“ teilen Expertinnen und Experten ihr Wissen zum Nationalen Aktionsplan Wirtschaft und Menschenrechte, zum Bündnis für nachhaltige Textilien, zur Allianz für Entwicklung und Klima, zu Siegelklarheit und zum Grünen Knopf. Die Themen reichen von Risikoanalyse über Klimaschutz bis hin zu Nachhaltigkeitsstandards.

Zusätzlich zu dieser zusammenhängenden Talkreihe informiert ein Fachvortrag eines Diplom-Chemikers der Universität Oldenburg über Textilrecycling, insbesondere von Kleidung aus synthetischen Polymerfasern. Ein Experte von Transfair e.V. spricht über soziale Nachhaltigkeit in der Lieferkette und der Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) informiert in einem Film mit Diskussion über seine Arbeit.

Bemberg presents fabric innovations and collaborations with fashion brands from the US and beyond

Bemberg will present a full range of new fabric innovations at Première Vision New York. These include manufacturers from around the world including Brunello S.p.A. and Cotonificio Albini S.p.A. from Italy, as well as luxury linings already installed at the Bemberg Lining Showroom in the heart of the Garment District hosted by CHH America. Relevant to report, the luxury yarn dyed jacquard linings made in Japan that can be customized following brands’ designs. While usually minimums are not met by emerging brands and start-ups, Bemberg decided to cooperate with a Japanese producer to offer customized yarn dyed Jacquard lining starting from 55 yards, per colour. Indeed, Bemberg will offer attractive designs, precious aesthetic while keeping its usual technical performances and the precious touch.

Oerlikon Neumag promises more flexibility in the color pattern design of carpets with the latest carpet yarn system BCF S8 at DOMOTEX 2020 in Hanover. All trade fair visitors can convince themselves of the possibilities for product differentiation in Hall 11, Stand A36.

Multi-colored carpets are becoming increasingly popular and the desire for significantly more flexible color mixing variants for product differentiation is increasing. Oerlikon Neumag has focused on this and developed the BCF S8, a platform that leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to the color separation of tricolor yarns - from mélange to strongly separated.

Over 200,000 different shades out of three colors
The core component in this process is the new, patent-pending Color Pop Compacting Unit (CPC-T) for an even more flexible and even color separation. Individually controllable air pressures per color in the CPC-T provide a pre-tangling, which results in an accentuation of the colors and thus enables over 200,000 different shades.

Until now, it was difficult to produce highly color-separated or accentuated BCF yarns from polyamide 6, but in the future, this will be possible thanks to the CPC-T. Thanks to the new design, the CPC-T is now also suitable for processes with low thread tensions.

Swiss textile innovator HeiQ adds bio-based thermofunctional polymer products to their HeiQ Smart Temp family for a full range of intelligent thermoregulation triggered by body heat. The newly introduced products add dual-action cooling at contact to the already successful dynamic evaporative cooling technology.

Launched in 2011, HeiQ Smart Temp was a pioneer in intelligent thermoregulation technology for textiles. Continuous refinements of this product range have allowed HeiQ to be the go-to solution provider as its technologies offer not only industry-leading dynamic evaporative cooling performance, but also ease of application and a friendly price point for brand partners. The latest breakthrough with cool touch technology allows consumers to touch, feel and understand the technology at point-of-sale, and ensures thermal comfort at all times by providing the benefits of cool at contact and continuous evaporative cooling. It is currently optimized for use on home textile products such as mattress ticking and bed linens. All HeiQ Smart Temp products are Oeko-Tex® Class 1-4 conform, bluesign® and USDA BioPreferred pending.

As the demand for thermo-functional polymer applications continues to grow, HeiQ created HeiQ Iberia to focus on this product development. There are three new products (two more in the pipeline) in the range that all provide instant cooling from a bio-based thermo-functional polymer, and each product is optimized to perform on specific items such as mattress ticking or bedding accessories. By adding a new category of products to the range, HeiQ now has a broad range of intelligent thermoregulation solutions for home textile market. HeiQ is launching these products for home textiles with their partner Standard Fiber at Heimtextil Frankfurt (7-10 January 2020).
