Leveraging insights from Wealth in Waste, Fashion for Good released a toolkit designed to revalorise textile waste in India.

In 2021, Fashion for Good launched the Sorting for Circularity India Project to organise the Indian textile waste market in a three-phase approach so as to streamline, strengthen and foster the Indian textile waste market to drive the transition to a more circular economy that recaptures value to its maximum potential.

In 2021, Fashion for Good launched the Sorting for Circularity India Project to organise the Indian textile waste market in a three-phase approach so as to streamline, strengthen and foster the Indian textile waste market to drive the transition to a more circular economy that recaptures value to its maximum potential.

The project brought together various industry players including Fashion for Good partners adidas, Levi Strauss & Co., PVH Corp., Target, Arvind Limited, Birla Cellulose, and Welspun India, as well as Fashion for Good innovators Reverse Resources, PICVISA, and Matoha; H&M, Primark, and TESCO also joined as external partners. The project is supported through catalytic funding provided by Laudes Foundation and IDH, and knowledge support from Canopy and Circle Economy Foundation.

Drawing upon the invaluable insights gained throughout the project, Fashion for Good unveils a toolkit designed to harness the untapped potential of textile waste in India. Together, these resources provide valuable insights, assessments, and practical guidance to advance recycling in India's textile industry.

Global Fashion Agenda: 2023 edition of The GFA Monitor

Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) released the 2023 edition of The GFA Monitor — a report to guide fashion leaders towards a net-positive fashion industry. The second GFA Monitor has been updated to include the latest guidance and insights from over 25 industry organisations in one cohesive publication. For the first time, the report includes new data insights from the Fashion Industry Target Consultation - drawn from over 900 industry participants in 90 countries.

The GFA Monitor is an extensive resource that presents expert insights on the status of the industry, clear actions to take, and proven best practices. In a time of poly crisis when the implementation of sustainable practices is challenged, GFA is supporting the industry by consolidating an abundance of available solutions that can be applied today.

The tool is grounded by the sustainability framework laid out in the Fashion CEO Agenda, featuring in-depth guidance according to the five sustainability priorities: Respectful and Secure Work Environments, Better Wage Systems, Circular Systems, Resource Stewardship, and Smart Materials Choices. Embracing additional expert knowledge from other industry organisations, each priority includes insights from GFA’s Impact Partners: Fair Labor Association, Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP), Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Apparel Impact Institute, and Textile Exchange, respectively.

The 2023 publication presents new findings from the Fashion Industry Target Consultation (FITC), launched by GFA and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in November 2022, which invited stakeholders from across the global value chain to share their thoughts on the performance indicators and milestones that the industry must strive to meet. The FITC indicates a very positive sentiment from participants, but action and positive impact from that action is yet to be measured. Overall, the data reveals that the majority of the 900 participants supported industry alignment on the 27 action areas proposed in the consultation and remarked that they are actively engaging with the industry to drive progress in the respective areas. The report further illuminates the level of industry ambitions per priority and the areas where more aligned action areas are needed.

On December 7th and 8th, Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) in partnership with Fashion for Good, facilitated the “Chemical Recycling Technologies: Manufacturing Markets Gateway”, in Bangladesh. Fashion for Good, the Amsterdam based global platform for innovation, along with two disruptive technology start-ups focused on textile-to-textile chemical recycling, Circ and Infinited Fiber Company, were the key stakeholders in this initiative.

The two-day visit leveraged Bangladesh's status as a major garment production hub, exploring the potential of chemical recycling technologies to enhance environmental sustainability. Emphasizing the importance of circularity, the event aimed to spread awareness about current disruptive innovations that could transform the industry's approach to waste and resource management, setting an example for future sustainable practices. It focuses on integrating these technologies within the local manufacturing landscape, securing feedstock partnerships, and developing a value chain for recycled apparel materials.

Denim Asia Limited, Knit Asia Limited, Progress Apparels Limited, Ananta BD, Reverse Resources, and the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) played pivotal roles in this initiative. Knit Asia Ltd, notably acclaimed for their commitment to sustainable practices, along with Denim Asia, associated with the sustainable brand Noize Jeans, showcased their commitment to sustainable manufacturing processes.
Progress Apparels Limited, a ready-made garment producer and part of PDS Limited demonstrated its advanced sustainable production facilities. Reverse Resources and the BGMEA hosted an intimate “Meet and Greet Networking Session”, to boost awareness about the technologies in the industry.

Mr. Mostafiz Uddin, Founder and CEO of Bangladesh Apparel Exchange, emphasized the significance of this event for the wider Bangladeshi textile industry, " Bangladesh has the biggest manufacturing sector in South Asia and this tour marks a critical step towards a circular fashion ecosystem, also how can the fashion industry become more sustainable in Bangladesh. It's not just an event; it's part of a larger movement to incorporate innovative recycling, Sustainable Fashion technologies and establish global partnerships for a sustainable fashion industry."

Featuring interactive sessions, factory visits, and knowledge sharing, this initiative offered a platform for fostering collaborations between manufacturers and technology innovators.

Bangladesh Apparel Exchange and Fashion for Good are optimistic about a future where Bangladesh leads in sustainable and circular apparel manufacturing.

VIATT 2024 as the response to Vietnam's developing textile sector

Vietnam is the subject of increasing investment across an array of industries, with its textile sector going from strength to strength in a short space of time. To give key players from across the textile spectrum an opportunity to make their presence felt in this market, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will make its debut from 28 February – 1 March 2024. Taking place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), the new fair will cover three main product sectors, namely apparel fabrics, yarns and fibres, and garments; home textiles; as well as technical textiles and nonwovens, textile processing, and printing technology.

To give key players from across the textile spectrum an opportunity to make their presence felt in this market, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will make its debut from 28 February – 1 March 2024. Taking place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), the new fair will cover three main product sectors, namely apparel fabrics, yarns and fibres, and garments; home textiles; as well as technical textiles and nonwovens, textile processing, and printing technology.

In line with the industry’s anticipation, the country was identified as the ideal location for ASEAN’s new comprehensive textile platform for several key reasons. Vietnam’s pro-business policies, strategic geographical location, abundant labour force, and favourable trade agreements have contributed to its rise as a global textile manufacturing hub. Agreements such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP); the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF); and 15 free trade agreements (FTAs) covering over 60 countries and regions, will further enable participants from across the value chain to conduct cross-border business after connecting at next year’s show. In addition, several key travel initiatives that serve international players have been implemented, including the country’s APEC Business Travel Card programme[1], availability of e-visas to all nationalities, and visa-free travel for select countries[2].

In Vietnam’s home textile segment, rising urbanisation, emerging young consumers, and higher disposable incomes are interrelated factors driving growth[3]. Globally, three of the top trends include recycling; utilising green fibres; and the increasing use of technical fabrics for enhanced comfort and health. At the fair, confirmed home textiles exhibitors include Hanyang Eco Tex, Hohmann GmbH, Phuong Nam Feather, and SIGMA, set to showcase their most up-to-date products, covering bedding, upholstery fabrics, curtain, and sun protection.
 
Utilised for automobiles, civil aviation, construction, health care, and more, Vietnam's exports of technical textiles reached USD 676.6 million for the first nine months of 2022, up 17.1% compared to the same period in 2021[4]. This in turn bodes well for the country’s import prospects of quality machinery and equipment. Hoping to cater to domestic demand at VIATT 2024, international suppliers in this category include Julai, SIGMA, and Skwentex.

Meanwhile, apparel-related products make up the lion’s share of the country’s textile exports – according to Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association (VITAS), in 2022 these numbered USD 29.1 billion. From Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi, numerous international fashion brands have a manufacturing presence, including Adidas, H&M, Lacoste, Lululemon, Nike, The North Face, Uniqlo, and many more. At next year’s fair, exhibitors such as Avery Dennison, Lenzing, Stylem Takisada-Osaka, and Texwinca, will aim to draw the attention of apparel brands and a wide range of other domestic and international buyers.

The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), covering the entire textile industry value chain.

YKK and GTT Win ISPO Award

The ISPO Textrends judges have selected YKK's DynaPel™ water-repellent zipper as the Best Product in the accessories category. The competition, held twice a year in conjunction with the ISPO trade show, recognizes the most innovative performance textiles, components, and apparel.

Designed to be compatible with garment recycling systems, the DynaPel™ zipper uses GTT’s EMPEL® technology instead of the standard PU film to achieve its water repellency. The lack of a PU film helps remove one of the barriers of textile-to-textile recycling of performance apparel by eliminating the urethane material, which presents challenges to garment recycling processes.

Conventional chemical and mechanical garment recycling systems cannot process the polyurethane film commonly used on water-repellent zippers, necessitating the removal of zippers from garments before recycling.  This additional processing step often deters recyclers from accepting garments with PU zippers, resulting in unnecessary waste.

EMPEL® technology uses advanced green chemistry devoid of PFAS and a specialized manufacturing process that allows the chemistry to penetrate the yarn and encapsulate it with a water-repellent layer through molecular cross-linking. The molecular cross-linking creates an extremely durable layer that is highly resistant to abrasion and invisible to the eye.

ECHA: Hazardous chemicals found in fashion products

An EU-wide enforcement project of the ECHA Forum found excessive levels of hazardous chemicals, such as lead and phthalates, in products that are sold to consumers. In total 18 % of the inspected products breached the EU laws.

The national enforcement authorities in 26 EU countries checked over 2 400 products, most of them intended for consumers, and found more than 400 of them breaching the EU’s chemicals laws.

The most common product types breaching the laws were:

An EU-wide enforcement project of the ECHA Forum found excessive levels of hazardous chemicals, such as lead and phthalates, in products that are sold to consumers. In total 18 % of the inspected products breached the EU laws.

The most common product types breaching the laws were:

  • Electrical devices such as electrical toys, chargers, cables, headphones. 52 % of these products were found non-compliant, mostly due to lead found in solders, phthalates in soft plastic parts, or cadmium in circuit boards.
  • Sports equipment like yoga mats, bicycle gloves, balls or rubber handles of sport equipment. 18 % of these products were found to be non-compliant mostly due to SCCPs and phthalates in soft plastic and PAH in rubber.
  • Toys like bathing/aquatic toys, dolls, costumes, play mats, plastic figures, fidget toys, outdoor toys, slime and childcare articles. 16 % of non-electric toys were found to be non-compliant, mostly due to phthalates found in soft plastic parts, but also other restricted substances such as PAHs, nickel, boron or nitrosamines.
  • Fashion products such as bags, jewellery, belts, shoes and clothes. 15 % of these products were found non-compliant due to the phthalates, lead and cadmium they contained.

In cases where non-compliant products were found, inspectors have taken enforcement measures, with most of them resulting in the withdrawal of such products from the market.

The non-compliance rate was higher in products which originated from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or whose origin was not known.

Hochschule Niederrhein: Neue Outfits aus Outdoor-Kleidung

Funktionskleidung anders gedacht: Wie kreativ es sein kann, Outdoor- und Skibekleidung in neue Outfits zu verwandeln, zeigten Studierende der Hochschule Niederrhein auf der ISPO in München, der größten internationalen Messe für Sportartikel und –mode.

Darauf vorbereitet darauf wurden die jungen Frauen und Männer im Rahmen der Masterclass in der ersten Campuswoche am Fachbereich Textil- und Bekleidungstechnik. Die 16 Studierenden des Masterstudiengangs Textile Produkte arbeiteten dazu mit den Designerinnen Nora Kühner sowie Cornelia Sievers zusammen.

Obwohl Funktionsbekleidung oft als ungeeignet für eine Wiederverwendung im Sinne von Umarbeitung oder Neugestaltung betrachtet wird, konnten die Teilnehmenden mithilfe des Workshops konventionelle Denkmuster durchbrechen und aus Funktionsbekleidung auf experimentelle Weise neue Outfits zu kreieren. Diese werden im kommenden Jahr auch auf der Recruiting-Messe MG ZIEHT AN am 15. und 16. Mai präsentiert.

Unterhändler von Europäischem Parlament und Ministerrat haben sich nach einer Mitteilung des Europäischen Rats darauf geeinigt, dass die Regelungen für Großbetriebe zwei Jahre nach dem Inkrafttreten der neuen Regeln gelten, für mittelgroße Unternehmen gilt eine Übergangsfrist von sechs Jahren, kleine Unternehmen sollen ausgenommen werden. Details werden noch festgelegt.
 
Angesichts wiederholter Berichte mit schockierenden Bildern von Textil- und Bekleidungsbergen in der chilenischen Acatama-Wüste oder auf afrikanischen Deponien sei dieses Verbot zu erwarten gewesen, so der Verband. Allerdings sei von den Medien nicht thematisiert worden, woher die gezeigten Waren im Detail kommen und ob es sich (auch) um Neuware handelt. Unterschwellig hätte aber immer der Vorwurf mitgeschwungen, dass sich auch große Mengen ungebrauchter Textilien in den Müllbergen fänden.

Es ist also nachvollziehbar, dass die Politik die Modebranche für die tatsächlich immer schwierigere Entsorgungssituation bei Textilien und Schuhen in die Verantwortung nimmt. Dabei werde allerdings gerne unterschlagen, dass speziell die Neuware nach BTE-Schätzungen nur einen kleinen Bruchteil der entsorgten Ware ausmache.
 
Belegt werde dies durch eine BTE-Umfrage bei mehr als 200 Mode- und Schuhhändlern aus dem Jahr 2020. Danach sei die Vernichtung von unverkaufter Ware im Textil- und Schuhhandel extrem selten. Von 1.000 angebotenen Artikeln würden lediglich zwei bis drei entsorgt oder recycelt. Und dabei handele es sich oftmals um beschädigte, verschmutzte oder Ware mit anderweitigen Mängeln, die mitunter gar nicht verkauft werden könne oder sogar dürfe. Nicht berücksichtigt seine dabei Plagiate, die in der Regel von den Lieferanten vernichtet würden.
 
Logistisch dürfte die Entsorgung dieser Artikel keine Probleme bereiten. Bei einer Inlandsverfügbarkeit (Produktion plus Import minus Export) von 4,42 Mrd. Bekleidungsteilen in 2022 liege die Zahl entsorgter Neu-Textilien aus dem Handel lediglich bei rund 4,4 Mio. Teilen pro Jahr. Die Zahl entsorgter Alttextilien dürfte dagegen um ein Vielfaches höher sein, moniert der BTE und sieht darin die Quelle für die Müllberge.
 
In 2020 verstarben in Deutschland mehr als eine Million Menschen. Nach BTE-Schätzungen besitzt jeder Verstorbene im Durchschnitt mindestens 100 Bekleidungsteile (inkl. Socken, Wäsche, Sport- und Berufsbekleidung, ohne Schuhe). Auf die Sterbefälle dürften damit nach BTE-Schätzungen mindestens 100 Mio. entsorgte Textilien entfallen. Hinzu kämen hunderte Millionen Bekleidungsstücke, die jährlich wegen Beschädigung, Verschleiß oder Passformproblemen aussortiert werden müssten und mangels weiterer Verwendungsoptionen beim Entsorger landeten.
 
Der Verband zieht das Fazit, dass der Anteil von neuen Textilien und Schuhen an der gesamten Entsorgungsmenge äußerst gering und deren Verwertung vielfach sogar geboten bzw. notwendig sei. Er werde sich in den anstehenden Verhandlungen vor diesem Hintergrund dafür einsetzen, dass dies auch künftig ohne unnötigen bürokratischen Aufwand möglich bleibe.

220.000 Tonnen Aluminiumgusslegierungen produziert Oetinger Aluminium pro Jahr. Das Unternehmen ist ein führender Lieferant im Bereich Fahrzeugbau und auf die Produktion von Recyclingaluminium spezialisiert. Das Thema Arbeitsschutz und die Vermeidung von Arbeitsunfällen spielen im Unternehmen eine wichtige Rolle. Die Gießerei-Kleidung von CWS Workwear trug maßgeblich zum verbesserten Schutz der Mitarbeitenden bei.

Oetinger Aluminium produziert in Süddeutschland und Tschechien an drei Standorten, dabei tragen rund 270 Mitarbeitende Schutzkleidung. Diese stellte die Verantwortlichen in der Vergangenheit häufig vor Herausforderungen, da sie durchlässig war und es so regelmäßig zu Brandverletzungen bei Mitarbeitenden kam.

Acht verschiedene Kollektionen unterschiedlicher Anbieter wurden in einem Übergießtest mit flüssigem Aluminium getestet. Der Serviceanbieter CWS Workwear konnte mit seiner Gießereikleidung Pure Metal überzeugen.

Das Innenfutter besteht aus flammfester, atmungsaktiver Viskose und lässt sich daher angenehm tragen. Die dunkelgraue Schutzkleidung wird mit Bundhose und Arbeitsjacke von 200 Mitarbeitenden bei Oetinger getragen, entspricht den Sicherheitsnormen für Hitze-Flammschutz, Schweißerschutz und schützt vor antistatischer Aufladung und Störlichtbögen.

Damit die PSA auch sicher bleibt beinhaltet die Dienstleistung von CWS Workwear ein umfassendes Servicepaket. Die getragene Gießerei-Kleidung wird nämlich im Unternehmen abgeholt, in der CWS Wäscherei gewaschen, auf Schadstellen und Abnutzung geprüft und wenn nötig, direkt ausgebessert – für die Sicherheit der Mitarbeitenden. Und dann wieder angeliefert – bis ins eigene Schrankfach. Auch das Unternehmenslogo und die Mitarbeiternamen wurden von CWS Workwear gleich für jeden Oetinger Mitarbeitenden an der Kleidung angebracht.

These points of view are reflected in the four themes of this new trend book.

Creative themes imagined with AI
Based on the analysis of emerging signals detected in the artistic, economic and social fields, these approaches incorporate elements of artificial intelligence for the first time. The artistic directors have incorporated them - by identifying them - into the 'pattern design' boards that bring together the colours and silhouettes used for each creative universe.

#1 Belief. This theme, which isn't very assertive and is rather introverted, expresses itself with elegance and discretion. The colour temperatures remain calm, in the background. The colour universe is oriented towards more "conservative", mineral shades, dominated by green and blue. The textures express matter and vibrations.  

#2 Immanence. While this proposal remains conservative and mystical, it is more visible than the previous one. It expresses a more talkative "bohemianchic" universe, asserting its point of view through a relatively cynical approach: "these are the new rules of our common life. You have to live with them". The colour range is expressive and warmer, but remains fairly classic. It is expressed more in knitwear or embroidery, materials with relief or a frosted appearance.

#3 Knowledge. This is all about affirming yourself. This theme, which also draws on classic sources of inspiration - nature, plants, flowers - sets out to transform them radically. The colours are strong, contrasting, in opposition, and are applied to materials that express the future, with crumpled, liquid or transparent textures.

#4 Experience. This is the most committed theme in the field of subjective truths. "Trust only yourself. [...] Don't believe. Test [...] trust no one. Learn from your own experience". The colours are very bold: we wear them to attract attention. Acidic, sweet shades are king, as are materials that evoke urban or sporty codes: rips, shiny aspects, organic (second-skin type), but also lace and transparency.
 
All these worlds will be showcased in two Trend Forums: one at Texworld Paris for fabrics, the other at Apparel Sourcing Paris for finished products (a new feature in February 2024). Visitors will be able to discover looks inspired by the fabrics and products selected by the show's art directors. There will also be new areas with samples to illustrate each of these themes: Highlights Texworld, Highlight Apparel Sourcing, Highlights Elite and Highlights Denim.

Das auf Menswear spezialisierte Label Eduard Dressler eröffnete Mitte November seine neugestaltete Shop-in-Shop-Fläche im Berliner Kult-Kaufhaus KaDeWe. Die Marke ist seit 2014 im KaDeWe vertreten und zeigt auf der neuen Fläche die komplette Produktrange, wie auch neue Features.

Edles Holz, mattes Messing und eine Farbgestaltung in gedeckten und warmen Naturtönen bestimmen nach umfangreichem Umbau die neue Ladenfläche von EDUARD DRESSLER an angestammter Stelle im ersten Stock des Berliner Kaufhauses KaDeWe.

Das neue Shop-in-Shop-Konzept wurde von dem, im Retail versierten Stuttgarter Architektenbüro Blocher + Blocher entwickelt und bereits in anderen Filialen der KaDeWe-Group umgesetzt. So zum Beispiel im Oberpollinger in München, wo die neugestaltete Fläche von der Kundschaft äußerst gut angenommen wird. Die Installation des neuen Shop-Designs in Berlin ist für EDUARD DRESSLER ein weiterer Schritt, die Neuausrichtung der Marke und Internationalisierung nach außen zu kommunizieren.

Conceived as a bridge between education and industry, the ISPO Academy Masterclass gathers top students from design and fashion schools to collaborate on new sportswear concepts. The aim is to encourage multidisciplinary thinking and future-oriented approaches. Evlox, Recover and Jeanologia launch recycled denim collection

On 23-24 November, Recover™, Evlox and Jeanologia will showcase their new recycled denim capsule collection, REICONICS, at Denim Première Vision in Milan.

The collection is the result of a collaborative project between the three companies, combining expertise from each specialist business to improve circularity in the denim industry, from fiber to finish.

It aims to inspire and bring value to the industry by creating truly circular products through a process that implements eco-design, transparency, process measurement, traceability, and scalability.

Made from Recover™ recycled cotton fiber and Spanish cotton, the REICONICS collection is GRS certified and is a tribute to the classic denim fabrics that have been successful in past decades.

It includes a range of premium denim fabrics developed by Evlox, and a total of 14 final garments that will be exhibited at Premiere Vision Denim. Each piece in the collection displays a variety of finishes generated using technology by Jeanologia, reducing water and energy consumption, and eliminating damaging emissions and discharge.

Die Fasern der Marke LENZING™ FR werden aus dem nachwachsenden Rohstoff Holz gefertigt, der im Einklang mit den strengen Richtlinien der Policy für Holz und Zellstoff von Lenzing aus kontrollierten und zertifizierten Wäldern in Österreich und Zentraleuropa bezogen wird. Als eines der weltweit ältesten und erfahrensten Unternehmen der Branche sorgt Lenzing für Transparenz in der Lieferkette, indem die Rückverfolgbarkeit der von Lenzing hergestellten Cellulosefasern sichergestellt wird. Das Fasererkennungssystem von Lenzing kann LENZING™ FR Fasern in jeder Phase der Produktion identifizieren und bietet dadurch eine zuverlässige Qualitätskontrolle sowie einen Echtheitsnachweis. Dank dieses Systems können wir unseren Partnern entlang der Lieferkette die Gewissheit geben, dass auch wirklich Premiumfasern von Lenzing verwendet werden, und so ihr Vertrauen in die Lieferkette stärken. LENZING™ FR Fasern sind auf Anfrage mit FSC- oder PEFC-Zertifizierung erhältlich und wurden vom US-Landwirtschaftsministeriums (USDA) als BioPreferred®-Produkt ausgezeichnet.

Senkung der CO2-Emissionen während des Produktionsprozesses
Fasern der Marke LENZING™ FR werden in einem voll integrierten Produktionsprozess gefertigt, dessen Energieverbrauch zu mehr als 83 Prozent aus erneuerbaren Energiequellen gedeckt wird. Daher fallen bei der Produktion 80 Prozent weniger Treibhausgasemissionen an als bei Standardmodalfasern1. Ebenfalls erhältlich sind von ClimatePartner zertifizierte CO2-neutrale LENZING™ FR Fasern2 – eine interessante Option für Partner in der Wertschöpfungskette, die ihren CO2-Fußabdruck verringern möchten, ohne dabei Kompromisse bei Schutz und Komfort einzugehen.

Neue Qualitätsstandards bei Schutzbekleidung
Die mit dem EU Ecolabel3 zertifizierten LENZING™ FR Fasern werden in Schutzbekleidung für Feuerwehrleute, Militär, Polizei und in der Öl- und Gas- sowie metallverarbeitende Industrien in über 100 Ländern verarbeitet. Schutzbekleidung aus Fasern der Marke LENZING™ FR setzt neue Qualitätsstandards in der Branche, denn sie ist nicht nur leicht, atmungsaktiv und weich, sondern auch bei extrem hohen Temperaturen angenehm zu tragen. Zudem entsprechen die LENZING™ FR Fasern der Definition von inhärent schwer entflammbaren und flammhemmenden Fasern, wie sie vom Europäischen Chemiefaserverband CIRFS festgelegt wurden. LENZING™ FR Fasern werden in einer großen Auswahl an Farben angeboten, wobei die Eco Color Technologie zum Einsatz kommt, die sich gegenüber herkömmlichen ressourcenintensiven Färbemethoden durch eine Energie- und Wasserersparnis von 50 Prozent und einen um 60 Prozent reduzierten CO2-Fußabdruck auszeichnet.4 Dank ihrer lang anhaltenden Farbbeständigkeit und Designflexibilität ist für LENZING™ FR Fasern keine zusätzliche Farbbehandlung durch Garnhersteller oder Stofffabriken erforderlich und auch nach mehrmaligem Waschen neigen sie weniger zum Verblassen.
