Kornit Digital LTD. announced to unveil its new Smart Curing and Rapid SizeShifter solutions at TecStyle Visions 2023. Kornit Smart Curing is an intelligent and adaptive solution significantly streamlining curing processes while delivering high-quality results. Additionally, the introduction of Rapid SizeShifter eliminates time-consuming direct-to-garment pallet changes typically required to address disparate applications.

Kornit’s new energy-efficient Smart Curing solutions include Orion for mid-level production, and Titan for higher-capacity volumes – both optimized for compatibility with Kornit Atlas MAX systems and based on field-proven solutions from the acquisition of Tesoma. These highly efficient curing systems sync production and finishing for an end-to-end process that reduces both energy consumption and total cost of ownership (TCO). Kornit’s Rapid SizeShifter for Atlas MAX is an adjustable pallet that quickly adapts to disparate application requirements – reducing costly downtime associated with pallet changes and streamlining production for accelerated time-to-market.

Auf der im Juni in Mailand stattfindenden ITMA wird sich der Textilmaschinenhersteller Mayer & Cie. zum ersten Mal mit seinen zwei Geschäftsbereichen Rundstricken und Flechten präsentieren. In beiden Bereichen setzt der Hersteller ähnliche Schwerpunkte: solide Maschinen, denen er Lösungen an die Seite stellt, die Flechtanlagen und Rundstrickmaschinen effizienter, langlebiger und damit werthaltiger machen. Diese Lösungen reichen von maschinenindividuellen Upgrade-Kits über Innovationen zur Reduzierung von Ausschuss bis hin zu digitalen Lösungen, die das Kundenerlebnis verbessern.  
 
Im Bereich Rundstrickmaschinen wird Mayer & Cie. drei Maschinen präsentieren: Die überarbeiteten Modelle der OVJA 2.4 EM und der Relanit 3.2 HS sowie die neue Bindefadenfuttermaschine SF4 3.2 III. Alle drei bedienen klassische Anwendungen und sind, bis auf die SF4-3.2 II, im Markt etabliert.

Die OVJA 2.4 EM strickt doppelflächig Jacquard mit Einzelnadelauswahl im Zylinder und sowie Doppeltuch mit Schussfaden. Sie ist die derzeit produktivste Maschine ihrer Klasse. Das Portfolio der Maschine wurde um Abstandsgestrick (Spacer) erweitert.  
Die Relanit 3.2 HS hat Mayer & Cie. zur Messe mit verbesserten Fadenführern ausgerüstet. Sie arbeitet mit einer Nadel mit optimiertem Haken und Zungenform sowie einer Sollbruchstelle zur erweiterten Sicherheit bei der höheren Produktionsleistung. Die neue Federplatine ist ein weiteres Feature der Relanit 3.2 HS. Sie verbessert die Laufruhe der Maschine und reduziert den Verschleiß.
 
Mit seiner dritten Maschine SF4-3.2 III adressiert das Unternehmen einen großen Trend in der Bekleidungsindustrie - Bindefadenfutterstoffe speziell für Freizeitmode, sowohl in reiner Baumwolle als auch mit Mischungen.

Mit den Upgrade-Kits für Flechtmaschinen profitieren Kunden vom technischen Fortschritt: Das Portfolio reicht vom Geschwindigkeits-Boost bis hin zu speziellen Abtafel- und Legeeinrichtungen. Ebenfalls neu sind die maschinenindividuell zusammengestellten Ersatzteilpakete. Sie liefern ein Mehr an Produktions- und Planungssicherheit. 

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition is set for a renewal. After last year’s brief pause, 283 exhibitors from 5 countries and regions will showcase their latest innovations at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) during this traditional peak sourcing period. The fair will be held concurrently with Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition, Yarn Expo Spring, CHIC and PH Value from 28 – 30 March 2023.

Comprehensive range of products zoned for easy sourcing
The 27,000 sqm gross exhibition space in hall 5.2 will host suppliers in multiple product categories, such as bedding, towelling, table and kitchen linen, home textile technologies, and textile designs. Several product pavilions and zones will be formed to encourage efficient sourcing, with areas designated for quality bedding, towelling, feather and down duvet fillings, quilt fillings, intelligent equipment and upholstery fabric products. Buyers looking for sustainable fibres, yarns and fabrics may be interested in sourcing at the Lenzing Group’s brand new centralised Lenzing Home Textile Satellite Pavilion. With Lenzing joined by eight of its Chinese downstream manufacturers, the pavilion will showcase the various home textile applications for the Austrian company’s wood-based TENCEL™ fibres.

Other well-known international and domestic exhibitors include Cotton Council International (CCI), Zhangjiagang Coolist Life Technology, Guangdong Kulida Down, Wujiang City Yunjie Textiles, Yantai Pacific Home Fashion, Sunvim Group, and Jiangsu Goostars Hometextiles. These suppliers, and many more, will present their up-to-date products to meet the sourcing demands of buyers from different channels.

Programme
At every edition, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textile’s fringe events keep fairgoers informed on a variety of topics, allowing exhibitors and visitors alike to stay up to date with the latest market trends and make informed business decisions.

Aligning with the fair’s general direction on promoting sustainability, and to satisfy the industry’s needs, representatives from Lenzing will be holding an exclusive seminar about the e-commerce opportunities surrounding eco-friendly TENCEL™ products’ sleep enhancing qualities. Other presentations and discussions that touch on sustainability will also be available under the fair’s Textile & Technology event theme.

With consumers globally paying more attention to health issues and increasing their spending on health products, the home and contract textile industry is also a party to this rising trend. To this end, seminars discussing traditional Chinese medicine and how it relates to different health issues will be held on day one. Their crossover topics include how aromatherapy can encourage high-quality sleep, as well as an introduction on the innovation of traditional medicinal textiles.

Moreover, the well-known Chinese retailer JD.com will co-host an event that promotes home textile products made with Chinese cotton. Several talks will focus on different aspects, such as the products’ quality and the overall potential of this industry aided by government policies.

After China’s relaxation of border restrictions and other pandemic control measures, it is now easier for domestic and overseas buyers to visit their Chinese suppliers at the fairground, for the chance to touch and feel their desired products.

Fibre Extrusion Technology Ltd (FET) of Leeds, UK will shortly be exhibiting at INDEX 23, the leading nonwovens exhibition in Geneva, 18-21 April.

As well as featuring its latest meltblown and spunbond technology, FET will focus on its new Fibre Development Centre. Construction and fit-out of this new purpose-built building is now fully operational. This modern two-storey development provides state-of-the-art facilities, including enhanced laboratory for client testing and product development.

Resident equipment in the Fibre Development Centre reflects the wide range of fibre extrusion systems offered by FET to clients across the globe and will enable continued growth of the company through innovation.  

Complementing FET’s highly successful meltblown technology, the more recent spunbond range provides unprecedented opportunities for the scaled development of new nonwoven fabrics based on a wide range of fibres and polymers, including bicomponents.

Eine optimierte Hallenplanung und das neue Produktsegment Carpets & Rugs erwarten die internationalen Besucher*innen und Aussteller 2024 auf der Heimtextil, der größten und internationalsten Fachmesse für Wohn- und Objekttextilien. Die Neuerungen seien direkt auf großes Interesse und positives Feedback aus dem Markt gestoßen, so die Messe Frankfurt. Für Aussteller bietet die Heimtextil bis zum 22. März 2023 einen Early-Booking-Preis.
 
2024 werden die Halle 3 und die neue Halle 5 werden mit ans Netz genommen. Die Halle 3 wird künftig die neuesten Kollektionen aus dem Segment Wall Decoration, Textile Technology, das internationale Angebot an Textil Designern und als Highlight die Heimtextil Trends 24/25 präsentieren. Window & Interior Decoration werden in der Hallenebene 3.1 verortet, Möbelstoffe in der Halle 4. In der Halle 5.1 wird das neue Produktsegment Carpets & Rugs abgebildet. Die neue Halle ist direkt an der Via Mobile und am Übergang zur Halle 4 angebunden.

Der 2023 eingeführte Produktbereich Fibres & Yarns für Deko- und Möbelstoffe wird ausgebaut und neben Interior.Architecture.Hospitality und Decorative & Furniture Fabrics wieder in der Halle 4.0 präsentiert. Besucher können auch zur Heimtextil 2024 weiter auf das Angebot von Smart Bedding, Beautiful Living, Bed & Bath Fashion, Asian Excellence und Asian Selection setzen. Die Hallen 10, 11 und 12 im Westgelände der Messe Frankfurt stehen zum Saisonauftakt wieder für deutsche und internationale Einkäufer*innen zur Verfügung.
 
Die Heimtextil 2024 erweitert das Portfolio um ein eigenes Produktsegment für Teppiche. Der Bereich Carpets & Rugs ist in der neuen Messehalle 5.1 zu finden. Präsentiert werden abgepasste, handgefertigte und maßangefertigte Teppiche, maschinell hergestellte Webteppiche, Matten und Sauberlaufsysteme sowie Läufer und Brücken. Abgepasste Teppiche wurden von den Herstellern bisher in unterschiedlichen Hallen präsentiert. Ab 2024 wird das Angebot dauerhaft im jährlichen Rhythmus in einem eigenen Segment zusammengefasst. Der Bereich zielt auf den internationalen Großhandel ebenso wie Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte, den Möbelhandel und Einrichtungshäuser sowie den spezialisierten Fachhandel.

The third edition of IFCO Istanbul Fashion Connection took place from 8 to 11 February 2023. At the largest IFCO to date, 588 exhibitors in a total of 9 halls at the Istanbul Expo Center met more than 10,000 international trade visitors from 134 countries such as Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, UK, United Arab Emirates. 45% of the visitors were from 134 countries and 55% of visitors were domestic. The largest group of foreign visitors came from Asia (33%), Middle East (33%), Europe (19%) and Africa (13%).

Divided into clear cut exhibition segments on a total of 100,000 sqm of exhibition space brands and manufacturers showed the latest collections from the areas of womenswear, menswear, kidswear, denim, sportswear, evening and weddingwear, lingerie, hosiery, leather & furs.

In the new high-quality designer area The CORE İSTANBUL, internationally renowned designers from Istanbul Fashion Week presented their exciting and creative designs.
“The Core is the premier platform that connects local fashion designers with the international fashion market. Our mission is to showcase the work of Istanbul´s talented designers who are dedicated to creating unique and innovative fashion designs while embracing conscious and sustainable practices.”, says Günes Güner, curator of The Core.

Even more design power was on display at the KOZA Design Competition for young fashion creators. IMA Istanbul Moda Akademisi was responsible for the design of the IMA LAB trend zone at IFCO. In the creative space, the trends and themes of the coming season were taken up and presented in a visually elaborate way. Euphoric Recall encompasses colourful, playful 70's vibes, Metasphere describes the return of glitter and metallic with a futuristic touch. The New Gen area featured pieces by up-and-coming designers of the next generation.

In two separate halls, LinExpo gave an overview of lingerie and hosiery. As a part of IFCO 145 manufacturers presented themselves here.

A large selection of high-quality bridal and evening dresses and suits were shown in the FashionIST area.

In the IFCO Sourcing area, especially designed for production, trade visitors networked directly with international production companies such as Bozkurt, Bilce Tekstil, Gelişim, Karar, Cemsel, Bozpa, Demezoğlu, Zevigas and more.

The next IFCO is scheduled from August 9 to 11, 2023.

• FINDEISEN auf der BAU 2023

Auf der BAU erwartet die Besucher auf dem FINDEISEN-Stand in diesem Jahr ein „Tropical Paradise“. Unter diesem Motto präsentiert Das Unternehmen aus Ettlingen neben den aktuellen Nadelvlies-Kollektionen das neue Trenddesign FINETT VARIO sowie akustische Lösungen mit Nadelvlies.

FINETT VARIO -Trenddesign
Bei dem als Bahnenware und Module verfügbaren Nadelvlies-Bodenbelag bilden verschiedene Farbeinstreuungen einen starken Kontrast zum einheitlich schwarzen Grundton. Die sechs Farbvarianten sind untereinander und mit den Trendfarben der Kollektion FINETT DIMENSION kombinierbar.

In beiden Fällen werden für die Nutzschicht biobasierte Polyamid-Fasern verarbeitet, der textile Rücken besteht aus Recyclingmaterial. Mit einem Gewicht von 1.300 Gramm pro Quadratmeter ist FINETT VARIO knapp ein Drittel so schwer wie vergleichbare Textilfliesen, was eine Ressourceneinsparung von 70% bereits bei der Produktion und in der Folge auch beim Transport mit sich bringt sowie das Handling auf der Baustelle wesentlich vereinfacht.

Dank des patentierten Aufbaus ist FINETT VARIO ebenso wie FINETT DIMENSION extrem maßstabil. Die Fliesen und Planken kommen deshalb ohne bedenkliche Schwerbeschichtung aus und werden ebenso wie die Bahnenware wiederaufnehmbar verlegt. Einzelne Module oder ganze Flächen können so einfach und schnell ausgetauscht werden. Neben den funktionellen Vorteilen ist die Easy-Fix-Verlegung aber auch deutlich nachhaltiger und kostengünstiger als die feste Verklebung: Für die Haftfixierung wird nur rund ein Drittel der Klebermenge benötigt und da dieser beim Austausch auf dem Untergrund zurückbleibt und nicht wie sonst üblich beschädigt wird, ist das Recycling des Nadelvlies-Bodenbelags deutlich einfacher und die kosten- und materialintensive Wiederaufbereitung des Untergrundes entfällt.

FINETT VARIO ist u. a. mit dem Blauen Engel sowie dem Green Label Plus ausgezeichnet. Die eingesetzten Rohstoffe erfüllen die Kriterien von Cradle to Cradle® für Materialgesundheit.

FINETT ACOUSTICS - akustische Lösungen mit Nadelvlies
Nadelvlies wird zunehmend für die Verbesserung der Raumakustik eingesetzt. In Kooperation mit der SUAM Akustikmanufaktur bietet FINDEISEN akustische Lösungen mit Nadelvlies in Form von Wandelemente sowie Pin- und Trennwänden.

Sie sind leistungsfähige Breitbandabsorber bei denen die Schallabsorption des Nadelvlies durch das darunterliegende, spezielle Absorbervlies zusätzlich verstärkt wird. Dabei stehen diverse Leistungsklassen (Schallabsorptionsklasse A + B) und verschiedene Verarbeitungsvarianten zur Befestigung an der Wand oder freistehend als Trenn- und Pinnwand zur Verfügung. Neben den als Intarsien umgesetzten Standardmotiven aus den Serien „art“ und „nature“ sind individuelle Umsetzungen jeglicher Art und Größe möglich. Zur Auswahl stehen dabei über 100 Farbtöne aus den Top-Nadelvlies-Kollektionen von FINDEISEN.

INDEX, a leading nonwovens exhibition, will take place in Geneva. About 90 Italian exhibitors will be present at this edition, including over 40 machinery manufacturers. As in past editions, ITA – Italian Trade Agengy, in cooperation with ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has organized an exhibition space reserved for companies manufacturing machinery for the sector. There will be 12 exhibiting companies in the Italian pavilion. Of these, the ACIMIT members are: Bematic, Bombi, Bonino, Dell’Orco & Villani, Ferraro, Loptex, Ommi, Rf Systems, Texera, Zappa Macchine. Other ACIMIT member companies will exhibit fair with their own booths.

The nonwovens sector has grown significantly in recent years. According to EDANA, the association grouping European companies operating in the sector, after the impressive growth in the previous year, the production volume of nonwovens grew by 2% in 2021, exceeding 3 million tonnes.

“The growth in nonwovens production has also driven the demand of machinery for nonwovens, comments Alessandro Zucchi, president of ACIMIT. The Italian technological supply has consequently expanded. At the 2023 INDEX edition, the presence of a significant number of Italian machinery manufacturers testifies their desire to play a leading role also in the production of machinery for nonwovens”.

The trend of Italian exports testifies the strong increase in production of nonwovens machinery. Indeed in 2021 Italian sales abroad reached a value of 102 million euro (+77% over the previous year) and in the first nine months of 2022, the value of Italian exports stood at 92 million euro.

CHIC - China International Fashion Fair starts the new year with a new date and fresh ideas. The unrestricted entry to China is possible again and CHIC March will be postponed by three weeks to facilitate visa applications.

From March 28 to 30, 2023 around 1,600 exhibitors will meet on 117,200 sqm at CHIC at the National Exhibition & Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai.

In 5 halls the fair presents itself in clearly structured segments with the big players and young, up-and-coming designers as well as exciting niche brands in the areas of womenswear, menswear, kidswear, denim, shoes, bags and accessories, young fashion, sportswear, designer brands and overseas brands.

Around 120,000 trade visitors are expected at the upcoming CHIC, serving all major distribution channels in China such as large shopping malls and department stores, agents, distributors, buyers from multi-brand and concept stores, live stream providers, etc. The CHIC organizers invest in intensive visitor marketing measures. CHIC Matching, the successful networking system of CHIC, brings exhibitors and visitors together efficiently and individually. New contacts can be made and cooperation opportunities explored. Comprehensive marketing activities via all relevant channels such as the CHIC WeChat Public Account (> 200,000 subscriptions), the CNGA WeChat mini program (> 100,000 subscriptions) and TikTok ensure visibility.

New: CHIC Showroom, the innovative young showroom concept in Beijing, which is to be expanded and will enable international brands to enter the Chinese market in the medium term.

Freudenberg Performance Materials (Freudenberg) will present surfacing veils and core materials for lightweight fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) parts at JEC in Paris, France. Freudenberg will also be showcasing Enka® Solutions flow media and spacers for efficient vacuum infusion, resin transfer and foam injection molding processes for applications in the composites industry, etc. at the international composites show.
 
Freudenberg’s solutions for the FRP industry include a variety of glass, PAN and PET nonwovens, as well as core materials for the production of lightweight fiber reinforced plastic parts. These products are designed for anti-corrosion coatings in piping and tank construction, smooth UV resistant surfaces for facade panels, and other applications for a diverse range of end products. Products made from fiber reinforced plastics must be equipped with surfacing veils to provide abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, smooth surfaces and mechanical strength. Freudenberg offers high-tech nonwovens that can meet these challenges.
 
Enka® Solutions products are characterized by their typical 3D entangled polymeric filament structures. Thanks to this structure, they are exceptionally suitable as flow media and spacers when producing composite materials.
