Mahlo GmbH + Co. KG exhibits its technologies at the upcoming IndoIntertex trade show in Jakarta. The event, scheduled from March 20 to March 23, will serve as a platform for Mahlo and its long-term partner agency Agansa to showcase its solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of the Indonesian textile sector.

With a rich history in textile manufacturing and a skilled workforce, Indonesia has emerged as a key player in the global textile landscape. The country's strategic location, coupled with favorable government policies, has fueled the growth of its textile sector, attracting investments and fostering technological advancements.

Mahlo's participation in the IndoIntertex trade show underscores its commitment to supporting the Indonesian textile industry with solutions designed to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity. Vom 23. bis 26. April 2024 zeigt die Trützschler Group auf der Techtextil in Frankfurt am Main die neuesten Entwicklungen für die Herstellung von Vliesstoffen auf Faserbasis. Im Fokus stehen die T-SUPREMA Vernadelungsanlagen und nachhaltige Lösungen für Vliesstoffe aus Zellulosefasern. Auf der Techtextil 2022 wurde die Kooperation zwischen Trützschler Nonwovens und dem italienischen Unternehmen Texnology offiziell bekannt gegeben. Mit der Einweihung der T-SUPREMA Vernadelungsanlage im Technikum in Egelsbach geht Trützschler in diesem Jahr den nächsten Schritt. Im Bereich Textilrecycling stellt Trützschler Spinning mit dem Kooperationspartner Balkan sein aktuelles Portfolio vor.

Vliesstofflösungen
Auf dem Gemeinschaftsstand von Trützschler Nonwovens und dem italienischen Unternehmen Texnology S.l.r. können sich die Besucher über T-SUPREMA informieren. Das Konzept zielt auf hohe Produktqualität und Systemeffizienz im Bereich oder mechanisch vernadelte Vliesstoffe - als Basis für Anwendungen wie Geotextilien, Automobiltextilien, Filtermedien und verschiedene industrielle Anwendungen.

Darüber hinaus erhalten die Besucher Einblicke in die digitale Arbeitsumgebung von T-ONE und deren Rolle bei der Sicherstellung einer nachhaltig hohen Vliesstoffqualität und Prozesseffizienz. T-ONE ist ein Bestandteil des T-SUPREMA Anlagenkonzepts, kann aber an jede faser- oder polymerbasierte Vliesstoffanlage angepasst werden.

Auch wird sich Trützschler Nonwovens auf seine Nassvlies-/ Spunlace- (WLS) und Krempel-/ Pulpanlagen (CP) für biologisch abbaubare Vliesstoffe auf Cellulosebasis konzentrieren. In Zusammenarbeit mit Voith treibt Trützschler Nonwovens die Entwicklung innovativer und umweltfreundlicher WLS- und CP-Produkte voran.

Spinnereivorbereitung
Zusammen mit dem türkischen Unternehmen Balkan präsentiert Trützschler Komplettlösungen für das mechanische Recycling und die Spinnereivorbereitung von Textilabfällen. Balkan ergänzt mit seinen Schneid- und Reißanlagen das Produktportfolio von Trützschler.

Die Besucher werden sowohl über die Balkan Reißanlagen als auch über die Putzereianlagen von Trützschler, die neue Integrierte Strecke IDF 3 und die intelligente Karde TC 30Ri für das Recycling, informiert. Das neue Flaggschiff der Karden verwandelt Sekundärfasern aus gerissenen Textilabfälle in hochwertige Faserbänder für neue Garne.

Zünd präsentiert technologische Highlights für einen automatisierten und rationellen integrierten Textilzuschnitt auf der Texprocess 2024 in Frankfurt (23. bis 26. April).

Zu den Lösungen für den Textilzuschnitt gehört die Produktionssoftware MindCUT Studio Production, die in ihrer neusten Version mit neuen Funktionen überzeugt. Außerdem zeigt das Unternehmen sein neues Roll Handling System – RHS für den autonomen und unterbrechungsfreien Zuschnitt und präsentiert sein Schneidsystem Zünd G3 Cutter, das in der Grössenausführung L-2500 zu sehen sein.

Funktionen in MindCUT Studio
Auf der Texprocess stellt Zünd die sogenannte Feature Recognition vor. Mit dieser neuen Funktion erkennt die Software Motive sowie die verschiedenen Teile eines Kleidungsstücks mithilfe künstlicher Intelligenz und platziert diese für den Zuschnitt hochpräzise auf der Stoffbahn. Der Prozess ist schnell erledigt: Modell auswählen, Motiveigenschaften platzieren und die einzelnen Schnittteile zuweisen. Die Software erkennt deren Positionen und repetiert sie entlang der Stoffbahn. Unmittelbar danach kann der Zuschnitt gestartet werden. Die Motiverkennung mithilfe von KI automatisiert einen bislang manuellen Prozess und erlaubt eine hohe Wiederholgenauigkeit.
Neben der Motiverkennung bietet MindCUT auch eine Printed-Cut-Funktion, die Aufdrucke automatisiert erfasst oder Pattern Matching, das rapportierende Muster erkennt, Materialverzug kompensiert und die Marker automatisch mit der Textilmusterung abgleicht.

Roll Handling System – RHS
Das Rollenmagazin bietet Platz für bis zu zehn Textilrollen und kann auftragsabhängig mit unterschiedlichen oder materialidentischen Textiltypen ausgestattet werden. Mit dem grossen, vollautomatischen Rollenmagazin kann die unterbrechungsfreie Zuschnittzeit erhöht werden. Das Roll Handling System – RHS beschickt den Zünd Cutter komplett autonom mit Material. Das ermöglicht lange Produktionsfenster, in denen keine Bedieneingriffe mehr notwendig sind. Lediglich die Bestückung des Rollenmagazins erfolgt noch manuell. Dabei erfasst die Bedienerin die einzelnen Rollen mittels Barcode-Scan. Materialzuweisung und Steuerung des RHS erfolgen dann direkt über die MindCUT-Software.

Turkey's leading garment machinery manufacturers and representatives have collaborated with Teknik Fuarcılık for GarmentTech İstanbul Garment, Embroidery Machines Spare Parts and Sub Industry Exhibition to host the first GarmentTech İstanbul Exhibition.

The GarmentTech İstanbul Exhibition will be held at İstanbul Expo Center (IFM) between June 25-28, 2025 and brings together all the technologies used in garment and ready-to-wear production.

The ready-to-wear and garment sector is among the locomotive sectors of the Turkish economy with both employment and export income. With 22 thousand 640 exporters and 42 thousand 434 manufacturers, the sector is among the priority sectors in the country's employment with approximately 700 thousand people working in production. Together with the retail and ready-to-wear sectors, total employment exceeds 2 million.

On the other hand, ready-to-wear and garment sector is the 3rd largest exporter in Turkey. Turkey is the 5th country in the world that exports the most ready-to-wear and garment. In 2023, the sector reached 19.3 billion dollars in exports and has a share of 7.5% in general exports.

Teknik Fuarcılık, which has more than 30 years of experience in exhibition organization and has made the ITM International Textile Machinery Exhibition a world brand, has taken action to make the success achieved by the garment and ready-to-wear sector sustainable. Texhibition Istanbul Fabric and Textile Accessories Fair, organised by İTKİB Fuarcılık A.Ş. in cooperation with the Istanbul Textile Exporters Association (İTHİB), is ready for its fifth edition. From 6 to 8 March 2024, 558 exhibitors will present themselves to the 30,000 expected visitors from over 100 countries, including the European Union, Great Britain, the USA, North Africa and the Middle East. With this edition, Texhibition has more than doubled the space compared to the last event to 35,000 square metres.

The fifth edition of Texhibition Istanbul offers a comprehensive overview of all product groups in the textile prepress sector: from woven fabrics to knitwear, from denim to artificial leather and textile accessories

Due to popular demand, the fair has been expanded to five halls, including the new Yarn Hall (Hall 8) with exhibitors such as Sasa, Aksa, Karafiber, Kortex, Tepar, Ensar, Kaplanlar and Iskur and the BlueBlack Denim Hall (Hall 7), which showcases the latest denim trends and presents a wide range from blue shades to black denims with exhibitors such as İsko, Çalık Bossa, Kipas and İskur. BlueBlack Denim is designed by the  designer Idil Tarzi in cooperation with the creative directors Gönül Altunisik and Selvi Yigci.

Curated by Idil Tarzi and her creative team, the Texhibition Trend Area in Halls 4 and 5 presents the latest colour trends, materials and accessories.

Under the direction of designers Arzu Kaprol and Filiz Tunca, the Innovation Hub showcases technological innovations that add value to textile production: from fibre to yarn, from fabrics to clothing.

Digital art installations in the entrance area, which run through the entire trade fair, as well as piano performances in the foyer await visitors at the upcoming Texhibition.

Seminars and workshops with industry experts shed light on current topics in the industry, including innovations, production processes and design developments. These opportunities offer participants a platform to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest developments in the textile industry.

From 6 – 8 March 2024, over 330 exhibitors from seven countries and regions will convene at of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition to highlight a variety of home textile products. Buyers will be able to source the latest bedding, duvets, pillows, towels, carpets, rugs and many more.

Fringe programme
Complementing the exhibitor lineup, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles will feature events to keep attendees up-to-date with emerging developments, trends, and important intuition.
For example, one of the most essential yet often overlooked foundations for sustaining wellness is quality sleep. Throughout day one and two at the Bedding Seminar Area, sleep technology will again be a key topic of discussion, guaranteeing comprehensive insights on sleep quality while tapping into associated business prospects.
Traditional Chinese medicine will also take the spotlight, with talks linking various health issues to remedies. Crossover subjects include topical therapy’s role in a better night’s sleep as well as innovations blending medicinal properties with textile design.
An increasing number of people are choosing to use natural materials and green textiles for their bedrooms and throughout their homes. For this reason, the seminars falling under the "Textiles & Technology" theme will shed light on sustainability and what’s next in the industry.

At the PERFORMANCE DAYS Functional Fabric Fair in Munich on 20 and 21 March 2024, CHT will present its latest sustainable textile technologies with a focus on dyeing and effect chemicals.

These products are used to finish textiles with special functions such as water repellency, breathability and efficient moisture transport. Significant amounts of water and energy can be saved during the dyeing and finishing process, resulting in a lower CO2 footprint.

In addition to effect chemicals, CHT will be presenting its dyeing products with a focus on the use of bio-based, biodegradable and recycled materials to support the circular economy.

The fifth edition of IFCO Istanbul Fashion Connection took place from 7 to 10 February 2024 with a record 38,545 visitors. At IFCO, 545 exhibitors met international trade visitors from 159 countries such as Australia, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, UK, USA, United Arab Emirates in a total of 8 halls at the Istanbul Expo Centre. The largest group of foreign visitors came from the Middle East (33.4%), Europe (24%), Asia (23.3%) and North Africa (13.3%). A total of 6% of visitors came from the USA, South America, Australia and Africa.

Divided into clear exhibition areas on a total of 100,000 square metres of exhibition space, brands and manufacturers presented the latest collections from the areas of womenswear, menswear, kidswear, denim, sportswear, evening and wedding wear, lingerie, hosiery, leather and furs.

The next IFCO is planned for 7-9 August 2024.

At this year's JEC World, STFI will be presenting highlights from carbon fibre recycling as well as a new approach to hemp-based bast fibres, which have promising properties as reinforcement in lightweight construction.

Green Snowboard
At JEC World in Paris from 5 to 7 March 2024, STFI will be showcasing a snowboard from silbaerg GmbH with a patented anisotropic coupling effect made from hemp and recycled carbon fibres with bio-based epoxy resin. In addition to silbaerg and STFI, the partners Circular Saxony - the innovation cluster for the circular economy, FUSE Composite and bto-epoxy GmbH were also involved in the development of the board. The green snowboard was honoured with the JEC Innovation Award 2024 in the “Sport, Leisure and Recreation” category.

VliesComp
The aim of the industrial partners Tenowo GmbH (Hof), Siemens AG (Erlangen), Invent GmbH (Braunschweig) and STFI united in the VliesComp project is to bring recycled materials back onto the market in various lightweight construction solutions. The application fields "Innovative e-machine concepts for the energy transition" and "Innovative e-machine concepts for e-mobility" were considered as examples. On display at JEC World in Paris will be a lightweight end shield for electric motors made from hybrid nonwovens - a mixture of thermoplastic fibre components and recycled reinforcing fibres - as well as nonwovens with 100% recycled reinforcing fibres. The end shield was ultimately manufactured with a 100% recycled fibre content. The tests showed that, compared to the variant made from primary carbon fibres using the RTM process, a 14% reduction in CO₂ equivalent is possible with the same performance. The calculation for the use of the prepreg process using a bio-resin system shows a potential for reducing the CO₂ equivalent by almost 70 %.

Bast fibre reinforcement
To increase stability in the plant stem, bast fibres form in the bark area, which support the stem but, in contrast to the rigid wood, are very flexible and allow slender, tall plants to move in the wind without breaking.A new process extracts the bast bark from hemp by peeling.The resulting characteristic values, such as tensile modulus of elasticity, breaking strength and elongation, are very promising in comparison with the continuous rovings made of flax available on the market.The material could be used as reinforcement in lightweight construction.At JEC World, STFI will be exhibiting reinforcing bars that have been processed into a knitted fabric using a pultrusion process based on bio-based reinforcing fibres made from hemp bast for mineral matrices.

Hermann Finckh received the JEC Composites Innovation Award in the category Equipment Machinery & Heavy Industries for the innovation MAXIMUM WEIGHT REDUCTION OF COMPOSITE TOOLS. The research team from the German Institutes of Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf (DITF) developed a new modular cutting tool for woodworking machines, which was produced and successfully tested by the industrial partner Leitz GmbH & Co. KG.

The extremely lightweight planing tool was made from carbon fiber-reinforced plastics (CFRPs) instead of aluminum using a completely new modular construction principle. As a result, it weighs 50 percent less than conventional tools. It enables significantly higher working speed, which enables a one-and-a-half-fold increase in productivity. The development of the extreme-lightweight principle was performed by numerical simulation and every solution was virtually tested in advance. A patent application has been filed for the concept.
