Dye-Max: Sweden’s imogo in Singapore

With a new strategic partner, its showroom now open in Sweden, and the successful commissioning of a Dye-Max spray dyeing system for a key H&M supplier in Bangladesh, imogo is looking to make a splash at next week’s ITMA Asia+CITME in Singapore.

Compared to conventional jet dyeing, impressive savings can be achieved with imogo’s Dye-Max, which is based on a series of spray cassettes with precision nozzles for accurate and consistent coverage combined with a patented pro-speed valve that controls the volume to be applied.

With a new strategic partner, its showroom now open in Sweden, and the successful commissioning of a Dye-Max spray dyeing system for a key H&M supplier in Bangladesh, imogo is looking to make a splash at next week’s ITMA Asia+CITME in Singapore.

Compared to conventional jet dyeing, impressive savings can be achieved with imogo’s Dye-Max, which is based on a series of spray cassettes with precision nozzles for accurate and consistent coverage combined with a patented pro-speed valve that controls the volume to be applied.

“The savings in treatment water the Dye-Max achieves are due to the extremely low liquor ratio of 0.5 litres per kilo of fabric,” explains imogo executive partner and board member Christian Moore. “At the same time, the low liquor ratio and the spray process require considerably less auxiliary chemistry to start with, and all of it is used in the process, which also greatly reduces the production of waste water, with only 20 litres being required for wash at changeovers. The low liquid content in the fabric meanwhile minimises the energy needed for fixation, while meeting industry quality standards and maintaining superior fabric performance.”  

The Dye-Max machine operates without the need for any changes to existing dyeing installations and employs traditional dyes suitable for application at room temperature. 

Blåkläder backing
In addition to ACG Kinna with whom it will share exhibition space in Singapore, imogo now has the support of Swedish workwear specialist Blåkläder.

With fully owned factories in Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Bangladesh, more than 8,000 employees and an annual turnover of SEK 2.7 billion, Blåkläder is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of quality workwear.

Blåkläder already uses dope dyeing, which reduces resource use in the dyeing of synthetic materials such as polyester, while imogo’s technology can also be used for natural fibres such as cotton, linen and viscose.

“Since most of the environmental impact from clothing occurs during manufacturing, it’s vital to develop methods that reduce resource consumption,” says Anders Carlsson, MD of Blåkläder. “Imogo’s groundbreaking technology addresses several of the industry’s toughest sustainability challenges and we naturally want to support that.

“Ninety percent of all the fabric we use comes from only ten carefully selected textile producers and by building long-term, trust-based relationships with them, we are well placed to influence sustainability efforts throughout the value chain.”

New showroom
Imogo’s new showroom and test centre is meanwhile now open and available for demonstrations and trials at the dyehouse of 7H Färgeri in Kinnahult, Sweden

“With this showroom, we are creating a platform for dialogue and collaboration with textile producers, brands and research partners,” says imogo CEO Joacim Wellander. “It enables visitors to see the technology in operation, understand the business impact and explore how innovation can drive transformation in their value chain.”

The facility will also serve as a knowledge hub, supporting technical training, application testing and joint development projects with partners. 

Chorka Textile
In Bangladesh, imogo has successfully installed a Dye-Max system at the plant of Chorka Textile, as part of retail giant H&M’s Green Fashion Initiative to support its key suppliers.

“The installation was handled by our own team and quality results were quickly achieved,” says Christian Moore. “This installation clearly proves that our technology is ready for the global market after years of development and fine-tuning, and working in Bangladesh taught us a lot. We look forward to discussing the opportunities that our technology can provide to mills around the world in Singapore.”

Keeping down drier: Chemical-free and powered by gold micro-particles

ALLIED Feather + Down, a global leader in high performance, responsibly sourced, and sustainably processed down, recently secured Okeo-Tex® Standard 100 Certification and bluesign® approval for their ExpeDRY Ultra Dry Down insulation. 

Designed to outperform current chemistry-intensive hydrophobic down treatments and approved for safe use by the textile sustainability authorities at Okeo-Tex and bluesign, ExpeDRY is both cleaner and better performing than standard down treatments in real world situations. It is the result of years of research into how down and moisture interact inside of an insulation chamber. 

After bringing the world’s first hydrophobic down insulation to market, ALLIED learned that these traditional chemistries not only introduce PFAS and other questionable chemistries into the environment, but also lack performance as they tend to slow evaporation and retain moisture inside jackets and sleeping bags. While the down itself stays dry, water droplets can become trapped inside the insulation chamber, slowing dry times and compromising warmth.

And due to the minute size of the gold material, the amount needed in a common down jacket equates to roughly two grains of salt. Because of this, ALLIED is able to secure Oeko-Tex standard 100 certification and bluesign approval.

On Day 1 of the event, Ebru Ozkucuk Guler, RE&UP’s Chief Sustainability Officer, joined the panel “Toward Impactful Textile-to-Textile Recycling Systems”, alongside Suhas Khandagale (H&M) and Cyndi Rhoades (Circle-8 Textile Ecosystems). The interactive session examined the current and future scale of feedstocks for textile-to-textile recycling, discussed legislation, sorting challenges, and explored practical solutions to accelerate circularity.

EREMA: Laser filters further developed for high throughputs in plastics recycling

At K 2025, EREMA launches a POWERFIL brand innovation that sets new standards in melt filtration for plastics recycling. The new LF 812 high-performance filter has twice the screen surface area of the previous premium model, the LF 406, extending the series upwards. Another new feature is the integration of the proven Lock & Change system for changing screens during operation in the Endurance filter, which handles the pre-filtration of heavily contaminated input streams such as unwashed materials. 

"This latest development in our laser filter sees us take a decisive step towards meeting the growing demands for high throughputs in plastics recycling at the same time as achieving the highest quality of melt," says Markus Huber-Lindinger, Managing Director at EREMA. The 100 percent larger screen surface of the new LF 812 laser filter boosts throughput, or maintains throughput while using screens with finer filters, which is particularly advantageous for quality-driven applications. Thanks to the larger surface area of the filter, it is also possible to operate at lower pressure and with less thermal load.

Maximum screen area, minimum space requirement
Up to 5,000 kilogrammes of melt can be filtered per hour with the single version of the new laser filter. "As a leading provider of plastics recycling machines, at EREMA we focus our experience and technical expertise on equipping large-scale systems with high-performance filtration in a compact design," says Markus Huber-Lindinger. The single version of the LF 812 laser filter covers applications with throughputs that previously required multiple filter units. "The major increase in surface area opens up new scope for system design. In many cases, this results in smaller space requirements and a more compact overall solution," adds Robert Obermayr, Product Group Manager for POWERFIL at EREMA. 

Manufactured inhouse for the highest quality and supply chain security
High-quality, high-performance filters continue to gain in importance in plastics recycling. The EREMA Group is responding to this by expanding inhouse manufacturing of filter components at 3S in Wartberg, a company that is also part of the EREMA Group. Investments in new production and heat treatment technologies increase vertical integration to ensure consistently high component quality. That is how EREMA strengthens supply chain security for customers who rely on the company's recycling systems and components.

One hundred years ago, in 1925, TI was granted its Royal Charter by King George V, transforming it from a professional association into a globally recognised chartered body, and in Singapore from October 28-31, is seeking to strengthen its international partnerships while welcoming new Corporate Members to its expanding global network.

It combines the highly complex and heterogeneous requirements of different extrusion machines in a flexible and scalable system. Reifenhäuser will be showcasing the new HMI at its open house during the K trade fair on its new EVO GEN3 and EVEREX blown film and flat film lines.

The operator can access every setting with a maximum of two clicks and, thanks to customizable dashboards and a clearly laid out start-up page, retains control over the entire extrusion process at all times. The intelligent color concept and the intuitive, responsive touch interface significantly speed up operation.

The new development was carried out in collaboration with HMI Project, a renowned agency specializing in human-machine interfaces (HMI). The new HMI was developed with a focus on people in order to simplify everyday operation of complex machines. In a user-centered process, real-life usage scenarios were analyzed and validated through usability tests. The result is a modular, scalable, and extremely flexible interface that combines technical complexity and user-friendliness at the highest level. Assistance systems, informative illustrations, and a clear visual hierarchy support the operator in setting up, monitoring, and optimizing sensitive production processes. 

The German Design Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the design landscape. Since 2012, the award has identified significant design trends, made them visible, and honored them. Every year, outstanding work in the fields of product design, communication design, and architecture is recognized.

The Expo served as a launchpad for future-focused initiatives, including:

  • The official release of the Youth Action Guide for Sustainable Development at the Innovation Hub, designed to mobilize the next generation of innovators.
  • The recognition of industry leaders at the Global Sustainable Fashion Consumption Industry Pioneer Awards Ceremony.

Public engagement was driven by the "Sustainable Journey," an immersive route that featured interactive activities like the Climate Fresk workshop and the Recycled Plastic Workshop, ensuring that sustainability concepts were translated into tangible, hands-on experiences for consumers.

GREENEXT Expo 2025 successfully confirmed that the pursuit of sustainability is the essence of new productive forces, driving synergy between economic prosperity and ecological benefit. Preparations for GREENEXT Expo 2026 are already underway, promising to further expand its global reach and deepen its impact.

Messe Düsseldorf: Strategische Partnerschaft zur Expansion nach Saudi-Arabien

Königlicher Besuch auf der K 2025: Seine Königliche Hoheit Prinz Saud Turki Al-Faisal Al Saud, Vorsitzender der Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC), hat gemeinsam mit Wolfram N. Diener, Vorsitzender der Geschäftsführung der Messe Düsseldorf, einen weiteren Meilenstein in der engen Zusammenarbeit beider Partner gesetzt. Im Rahmen der Kunststoff- und Kautschukmesse K 2025 bekräftigten beide Seiten mit einem offiziellen Handschlag ihre strategische Kooperation.

Der Handschlag markiert einen weiteren Meilenstein in der internationalen Expansion der Weltleitmessen K, interpack und drupa nach Saudi-Arabien. Dort lässt sich derzeit beobachten, wie dynamisch und vielschichtig sich die Wirtschaft des Mittleren Ostens entwickelt. Die Riyadh Exhibitions Company veranstaltet dort vom 12. bis 15. April 2026 die Fachmessen Saudi Plastics & Petrochem und Saudi Print & Pack mit über 500 ausstellenden Unternehmen aus den Bereichen Petrochemie, Kunststoff-, Druck- und Verpackungsindustrie. Dieses stark wachsende Messequartett, dessen Ausstellerzahl seit 2018 um rund 70 Prozent gestiegen ist, bietet ideale Anknüpfungspunkte für die Messe Düsseldorf.

Ziel der Partnerschaft ist es, an der wachsenden wirtschaftlichen Dynamik im Mittleren Osten aktiv zu partizipieren. Bereits im Frühjahr 2025 hatten beide Partner ihre strategische Zusammenarbeit mit einem Memorandum of Understanding offiziell dokumentiert. 

Zahlreiche Anknüpfungspunkte für das Düsseldorfer Messeportfolio
Wolfram N. Diener, Vorsitzender der Geschäftsführung der Messe Düsseldorf, hebt die Bedeutung dieser Entscheidung hervor: „Wir sind zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort. Mit unserem Engagement in einem Messemarkt, der weltweit am schnellsten wächst, stärken wir unsere Position als eine der international erfolgreichsten Messegesellschaften. Saudi-Arabien und die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate stellen ihre Wirtschaft immer vielfältiger auf – dadurch ergeben sich zahlreiche Anknüpfungspunkte für unser breites Messeportfolio und neue Potenziale für unsere Kunden.“ Dass die wirtschaftliche Transformation der Region zunehmend internationale Aufmerksamkeit erfährt, zeigte sich auch im hochrangigen Besuch: Seine Exzellenz Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister für Industrie und Bodenschätze Saudi-Arabiens, besucht aktuell die K 2025. Bereits im letzten Jahr hatte er sich auf der drupa 2024 ein Bild vom internationalen Messegeschehen in Düsseldorf gemacht.

Hohes Wirtschaftswachstum im Mittleren Osten
Das spiegelt sich in den Wirtschaftsdaten der Staaten des Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) wider. Deren jährliche Wachstumsrate von sechs Prozent bis 2029 übertrifft dem Beratungsunternehmen jwc zufolge sowohl die der EU (3%) als auch den weltweiten Durchschnitt (5%). 

Auf bestehender Stärke aufbauen: bisherige Schritte in der Region
Bei den aktuellen Neugeschäftsaktivitäten handelt es sich nicht um die ersten Schritte der Messe Düsseldorf in der Region. Seit 2007 besteht eine erfolgreiche Partnerschaft der K mit der ArabPlast in Dubai. Seit 2019 treibt die Messe Düsseldorf ihr Geschäft unter anderem mit den interpack alliance Messen pacprocess MEA und der Food Africa Cairo in Ägypten voran – dem Bindeglied zwischen dem Mittleren Osten und Afrika. Seit 2024 ergänzt außerdem eine neue Tochtergesellschaft das globale Netzwerk der Messe Düsseldorf – in der Türkei, die die Brücke zwischen Europa und dem Mittleren Osten schlägt. Die Offensive in Saudi-Arabien ist nun der nächste folgerichtige Schritt.

Cibutex Event: WORKING ON CHANGE

Cibutex, the Dutch/European circularity organisation for business textiles, held its annual Fall Event on October 1 in Amsterdam. Cibutex, set up by 5 textile management companies in 2022, today is a representation of a wide spectrum of companies from the business textile industry. It currently has around 50 members, located all over Europe. 
 
Like Cibutex itself, the day was not at all like the average corporate congress. Expert speakers presented their view and knowledge of some complex issues, like the upcoming EPR laws and the situation of the textile recycling industry. The day’s theme ‘Working on Change’ was implemented litterally during the day: the 70 visitors to the event got actively involved in the discussions and expert panels. Together they worked on the future of Cibutex, as a driver of change in the world of industrial textiles.

At the same time, the Cibutex Team has already started the preparations for the Spring 2026 Event.

Demonstrating total control with UK technologies

As a leader in colour measurement and management solutions, Verivide will showcase its latest DigiEye imaging system at the forthcoming ITMA Asia + CITME exhibition in Singapore from October 28-31.

This benefits from 100% LED illumination, improving the accuracy of colour assessments while supporting environmentally responsible practices in colour management.

Designed for efficiency and reliability, the DigiEye includes integrated dust filtration and a fully enclosed camera for added security. 

Unlike its predecessor, the new DigiEye no longer requires annual fluorescent lamp changes, thanks to its 100% LED light source. The system also includes software-integrated lighting controls and lighting geometry checking, enhancing its precision and ease of use. Additionally, it now has the ability to auto-capture images upon door closure, making it ideal for imaging multiple samples quickly and efficiently.

The new DigiEye offers significant upgrades, including a 67% larger imaging area and a 112% larger measurement area. Its drawer load rating has increased by 55%, and the LED light source lasts ten time longer than before.

Abrasion and pilling testing 
Martindale testing needs little introduction to textile manufacturers, being well established as the industry standard for abrasion and pilling testing since its initial development and introduction by James Heal back in the 1940s.

For 2025, however, James Heal’s development team have taken a fresh look at this classic instrument and the result is the new Martindale Motion.
This redesigned nine-station Martindale instrument with individual lifting heads now offers the flexibility to run each station independently for carrying out different textile tests simultaneously.

Multiple textiles can be tested at the same time through to conclusion without intervention. Once set up, the Martindale Motion can be left running with the sample holders automatically lifting at the required evaluation points, freeing up the operator’s time to do other work without the need to return until the abrasion or pilling test is fully completed, including overnight.

Each sample is kept in-tact at the end point for evaluation and checking, reducing queries on grading and the potential need for re-testing. Further refinements include a new hinged access to change the self-aligning drive pins, allowing quick and safe switching between tests.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, the James Heal Martindale range has seen numerous updates, models and innovations over the years, such as touchscreen and user-friendly software, best-in-class safety features combined with the signature near silent running of this staple lab instrument. Added to this have been the introduction of the DurAbrasion multi-function testing machine, later followed by the market-leading evolution, the AquAbrasion wet abrasion tester launched in 2019.

The Martindale Motion, however, is now taking productivity and efficiency to a higher level than ever before.

Total control of textile drying is meanwhile enabled with the advanced radio freqency (RF) technology of Strayfield, which has over 4,000 installations worldwide and provides solutions tailored to diverse textile applications such as cotton, wool, polyester, nylon, silk, acrylic and speciality blends.

Strayfield technology enables consistent quality, superior output and sustainability benefits through gentle and uniform drying, ensuring even results and moisture removal across entire batches and preserving fibre integrity, colour vibrancy and softness without yellowing or shrinkage.
Adaptive electrodes regulate power delivery according to product height and moisture, maximising efficiency and eliminating energy waste and unlike conventional rod systems, Strayfield’s full-area plates deliver consistent energy density for gentle drying without hotspots.

Kyocera Supported Production of Collections at Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026

Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. supported the production of dresses using artworks painted by artists contracted to HERALBONY for ANREALAGE’s Collection at Paris Fashion Week SS 2026, held on September 30, 2025. The collection comprised 30 outfits, 26 of which used fabrics printed with our sustainable inkjet textile printer "FOREARTH". For this collection, 21 vibrant designs by 18 artists contracted to HERALBONY were printed onto wide range of fabrics and, through ANREALAGE’s craftmanship, transformed into distinctive garments that conveyed movement and vitality. FOREARTH printing was used for bags and shoes, giving their designs an inner glow that attracted significant attention.

Works by artists contracted to HERALBONY are characterized by both intricate, delicate expressions and bold, powerful strokes. In the printing process for this garment production, our FOREARTH faithfully reproduced those artistic expressions. Moreover, features unique to each artwork—such as variations in brush pressure and brushstroke—along with subtle differences in hue and tonal gradation were recreated through precise ink-volume adjustments made possible by digital technology, allowing FOREARTH to play a significant role in this production.

„Seeing printed fabrics from Kyocera’s sustainable inkjet textile printer, FOREARTH, moved me“, said HERALBONY’s designers Takaya Matsuda and Fumito. „The printer reproduces the nuance in the artists’ brushwork—the subtle breaks, dynamism, and life—directly onto fabric. It felt as if the works were truly imprinted on society. We believe this is meaningful for the artists, their families, and the welfare communities supporting them.“

FOREARTH reduces water usage by 99.98%*1. This is significant for the resource- and water-intensive textile and apparel industry. We will continue to work with Kyocera to introduce and scale a model that protects artistic integrity while helping to solve environmental challenges.

Hohe Beteiligung an der EuroShop 2026

Fünf Monate vor der EuroShop 2026 ist der Zuspruch in der Ausstellerschaft sehr positiv. Obwohl die wirtschaftliche Lage im Handel derzeit herausfordernd und von Umbrüchen geprägt ist, haben sich viele Aussteller frühzeitig zur Teilnahme entschlossen. Besonders stark ist der Zuspruch in den Bereichen Food Service Equipment, Retail Technology, Refrigeration & Energy Management sowie Expo & Event.

Februar 2026 feiert The World´s No.1 Retail Trade Fair wieder die aktuellsten Retail Innovationen und natürlich auch ihr Jubiläum mit einem „Global Retail Festival“. Fachbesuchende aus der ganzen Welt werden vom 22. bis 26. Februar 2026 in Düsseldorf am Rhein erwartet. Rund 1.900 Aussteller aus über 60 Nationen werden ihre Lösungen und Produkte auf einer Ausstellungsfläche mehr als 100.000 Netto-Quadratmetern in insgesamt 14 Messehallen präsentieren.

Die Dimensionen spiegeln die vielfältigen Disziplinen wider, die den Retail spannend und attraktiv machen: Shopfitting & Store Design ist das Herzstück und die größte der Dimensionen: Rund 450 Aussteller – darunter führende Architektur- und Store Design Büros sowie Hersteller – zeigen auf über 27.000 angemeldeten Quadratmetern Fläche ihre neuesten Entwicklungen. Das Spektrum reicht von innovativen Konzepten, beeindruckenden Shop Designs und Visual Merchandising Lösungen über Materialien sowie Möbeln bis hin zu modularen Systemen für den Point of Sale. Die Lighting Dimension wird erneut zum Blickfang beim Betreten der EuroShop. Sie zeigt, wie durchdachte Beleuchtung Stores in Erlebniswelten verwandelt, Atmosphäre schafft und den Point of Sale eindrucksvoll in Szene setzt. Die Dimension Expo & Event Marketing erfährt eine besonders große Nachfrage. Die Flächen reichen nicht mehr aus, sodass sie erstmals auf zwei Hallen ausgeweitet wird. Mit über 25.000 Quadratmetern Fläche wird der Bereich Refrigeration & Energy Management besonders groß. Dies belegt nicht nur den Bedarf an energieeffizienten Technologien und nachhaltiger Kühlung, sondern auch, wie stark die Handelsgastronomie boomt. In der Dimension EuroCIS (Retail Technology) präsentieren über 550 Aussteller, wie KI, Customer Centricity, Smart Stores und viele weitere Technologien die Zukunft des Handels prägen. Die Dimension Retail Marketing verdeutlicht eindrucksvoll, wie wichtig es ist, Kundinnen und Kunden ein Einkaufserlebnis mit allen Sinnen zu bieten. Multisensorische Inszenierungen und innovative Instore Kampagnen zeigen, wie sich Kaufimpulse gezielt verstärken lassen.

Zahlreiche Sonderflächen laden dazu ein, tief in verschiedene Themenbereiche einzutauchen. Im Designers’ Village präsentieren internationale Architekturbüros und Designstudios ihre visionären Konzepte. Neu ist die Sonderfläche VM Experience, die das Visual Merchandising interaktiv, dialogisch und kreativ erlebbar macht. Das Food Service Innovation Hub beleuchtet die digitale Transformation und Automatisierung in der Handelsgastronomie, während die Italian Lighting Lounge eindrucksvoll zeigt, welche Rolle Licht im modernen Store Design spielt. Im Shop! Village stehen Visual Merchandising und POS-Marketing im Vordergrund. Wieder dabei sind das IFES Global Village, das dlv Village und der Start-up Hub. In der 60’s Lounge leben die Zeitgeschichte und die Anfangstage der EuroShop wieder auf. Auf sieben Stages präsentieren Retailer und Aussteller Trends, Cases und Fachbeiträge. Diskussionsrunden regen zum Wissensaustausch über zukunftsweisende Topics der internationalen Handelswelt an.

Die Guided Innovation Tours auf der EuroShop treten im Jubiläumsjahr mit einem breiteren Angebot auf: Touren zu verschiedenen Schwerpunktthemen sorgen während der Laufzeit für einen einfachen Überblick über spannende Aussteller in den Bereichen Sustainable Materials und Store Design, Retail Tech Innovation, Energy Management & Optimization sowie Food Service Innovationen. Auch Store Touren zu interessanten Shop-Konzepten am Standort Düsseldorf werden zum ersten Mal stattfinden.
