TRAUMPASS


	The "Traumpass"-label, formerly known as "Naturprodukt" (natural product), has for 30 years been a symbol of controlled quality of the bedding articles, which carry this trademark. It thus serves for consumer information as well as for consumer protection purposes and the responsible protection of the products' quality level.

	The Kontrollgemeinschaft Federn-Siegel e. V. (Association for Quality Control of the Feather Label e. V.) has initiated this quality assurance project. At the moment, the Kontrollgemeinschaft consists of 22 distinguished producers of bedfeathers and down, most of which are members of the VDFI, the German Down and Feather Association, as well. For three decades now, the Kontrollgemeinschaft has been committed to ensuring, that the customers are offered correctly labelled products, which have undergone strict quality control.		To meet these high standards, the Kontrollgemeinschaft has defined strict guidelines and has its products regularly controlled by an independent organisation: the worldwide renowned Hohenstein textile research Institutes.

	The Kontrollgemeinschaft is the only trade organization to have a tightly organized mystery shopping and testing system for bedding articles. Under the supervision of a notary impartial shoppers anonymously purchase bedding articles. The products are then sent to the Hohenstein Institutes, where they are tested; the testing results are afterwards being evaluated under the supervision of a notary.

	Since September 1st 2006 the Kontrollgemeinschaft has moved another step forward. The present mystery shopping and testing system has been supplemented by certification. The impartial and independent certification organisation, DIN CERTCO, has been commissioned by the Kontrollgemeinschaft and its members to certify the products with the Traumpass feather label as well as the mystery shopping and testing activities by the association itself. The Traumpass will continue to stand for best quality - from now on certified.
