CHINA WAVE: Successful presentation at Pitti Uomo 106

The start to the premiere of the CHINA WAVE pavilion at Pitti Uomo 106: the first stop of the "2024 China National Garment Association Overseas Programme" was a complete success for the participating designer labels from China. The Chinese brands impressed the international fashion world with their exclusive and extraordinary collections at the Costruzioni Lorenesi in the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. The famous fashion journalist, Suzy Menkes, was also impressed by the creations.

The styles and current looks from from VALLEYOUTH, KB HONG BY K-BOXING, RAXXY, JDV, FENGGY, BLACKHEAD, KEYONE BY HATTERSHUB, TYPETAIL impressed buyers, fashionistas and media representatives alike with their design expertise, creativity and product quality. The combination of contemporary styles with traditional Chinese elements, as seen in the collections of KB HONG by BY K-BOXING, JDV and VALLEYOUTH, among others, attracted international audience from Italy, Germany, France, Great Britain, Spain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the USA, Mexico, Canada, Australia and many more.

Among those welcomed to the pavilion was Suzy Menkes, who emphasised the combination of tradition and modernity in collections such as those from KB HONG by BY K-BOXING and VALLEYOUTH in the CHINA WAVE pavilion. VALLEYOUTH's new collection was presented by fashion photographer Acielle from style du monde at Vogue World, while fashion blogger Augusto Ferretti commented on the brands' designs as "artistic sculptures". The appearance of the famous Chinese actor and singer AYUNGA as a testimonial for the new KB HONG by BY K-BOXING collection at Pitti Uomo attracted particular attention.

Further stops of the "2024 China National Garment Association Overseas Programme" are Who's Next in Paris and TheOne Milano in Milan in September.

The next CHINA WAVE presentation at Pitti Uomo is planned for January 2025.

Chic Pavillon auf Who’s Next in Paris

Rund 1.300 Bekleidungs-, Schuh-, Accessoire- und Schmuckaussteller präsentierten sich auf der Pariser Messe Who’s Next Anfang September, darunter erstmals zwanzig chinesische Designlabels unter dem Dach der CHIC, China International Fashion Fair. Das Messemotto lautete „Back to School“.

Rund 900 Quadratmeter belegte CHIC mit dem FASHION CHINA Pavillon und bot eine Auswahl an chinesischer Damen-, Herren- und Sportmode sowie Hüten. Die Damenmode wurde vertreten durch Ellassay, JNBY, LUO ZHENG, RAXXY (women und men), KEYONE (Hüte für Damen, Herren, Kinder, unisex), Thread & Story, MAY D.WANG Cashmere & Silk, Yvonne CHOI, SE JIE, VAN SUNSUN, SELAH, EXTENDED, ARYA CASH, JORE BAUDRY, CANMADE und HEMPEL International. Herrenmode zeigten KB Hong by K-BOXING sowie die Marke JOEONE, die als eine der erfolgreichsten chinesischen Modemarken auf der Pariser und der Mailänder Fashion Week vertreten ist.

Der Pavillon ist ein weiterer Baustein der Internationalisierung chinesischer Mode. Viele der Marken verkaufen bereits weltweit über Online-Shops wie KeyOne, ein Multibrand Label mit eigenem Museum für Hüte in China und Organisator des China Hat Festivals. Einen internationalen Online-Shop betreibt auch das Damenmode-Label JNBY, das parallel mit Agenturen in Japan und Australien zusammenarbeitet. May D. Wang, Spezialist für Kaschmir und Seide, ist in UK vertreten.

Der FASHION CHINA Pavillon in Paris ist als Auftakt für den Auftritt auf weiteren internationalen Plattformen gedacht und soll das Angebot der CHIC für chinesische Modemarken in Zukunft strategisch erweitern.

Premiere for the CHIC Pavillon "Fashion China" at Who's Next

From 2 to 4 September 2023, twenty Chinese fashion brands will present themselves for the first time on an international platform under the umbrella of CHIC, China International Fashion Fair. On 900 sqm CHIC presents the FASHION CHINA pavilion at Who's Next with a selection of Chinese womenswear, menswear, sportswear, and hats.

Womenswear is represented by Ellassay, Laurèl (founded in Munich, Germany), JNBY, LUO ZHENG, RAXXY (women and men), KEYONE (hats for women, men, kids, no gender), Thread & Story, MAY D.WANG Cashmere & Silk, Yvonne CHOI, SE JIE, VAN SUNSUN, SELAH, EXTENDED, ARYA CASH, JORE BAUDRY, CANMADE and HEMPEL International.
Menswear is represented by KB Hong by K-BOXING and JOEONE. Exclusive sportswear will be shown by FENGGY.

FASHION CHINA is planned as a prelude to the presentation on further international platforms and is to complete CHIC's offer as a service point for Chinese fashion brands in the future.
