Performance Days: focus on sustainable textile production
Across the industries and around the world there is a lot of talk about sustainability. Sustainable textile production is the focus topic of the upcoming Performance Days in Munich/Germany on November 13-14, 2019.
This year, only sustainable materials will be presented in the curated Performance Forum. Also, to give visitors an overview of all aspects of sustainability, the Focus Topic Wall is dedicated to the topic. Selected by a jury, the 24 most sustainable fabrics will be shown along with explanations of all areas of sustainability.
On Day 2, the lectures and discussion panels of the fair also focus on the topic of sustainability. Together with trade magazine SAZ Sports&Fashion, Performance Days has organized an International Sustainability Congress, to be presented in November 2019 for the first time and featuring a new format for the textile industry with the title Sustain&Innovate. International guest speakers will address all aspects of sustainability in lectures and discussions in the Expert Talks Area on November 14, 2019.
natific: digital color solutions
The supplier of color production and management process technology and color accreditations, natific AG, Aesch/Switzerland, will showcase natific digital color solutions at the Performance Days in Munich/Germany from November 13-14, 2019.
The B2B software solution ColorWarehouse ensures high precision and reproducible color results. All color data from the supply chain are transferred to a cloud-based system for central information management. Designers no longer need to send physical color samples or make visual assessments. Dye houses actually self-approve colors when they are within tolerance. Key performance indicators can be benchmarked across different mills, services tracked and monitored, and quality issues minimized. Development cycles are shortened by an average of 4-6 weeks while color quality is elevated.
Beyond production monitoring functionalities, the system enables strategic supply chain management. Solid indicators help identify key performers and facilitate decision-making that supports supply chain optimization.
The new B2B platform ASAP can tell customers very clearly how accurately a supplier can produce a given color for a given material before going into production. In contrast to traditional platforms that solely provide digital color data to suppliers, ASAP works by enabling a 2-way interactive exchange between brands and their suppliers. The platform’s ability to seamlessly integrate into existing IT infrastructures, such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), ensures smooth communication.
Performance Days: major topic "The Beauty of Function"
On May 8/9, 2019, the trade fair Performance Days will be held with approx. 300 exhibitors in Munich/Germany. Under the title “The Beauty of Function”, the beauty of functional fabrics will be the major topic of the coming fair. Functional fabrics and materials are not only suitable and necessary for sportswear: these fabrics are now so attractive, they are also giving a stylish “plus” to fashion design. The advantages of these fabrics can be appreciated almost anywhere; outdoors as well as in urban environments, for business clothing and for sportswear. The original DNA and the expertise for function come from the field of sports. However, the benefits are now available to an ever-expanding clothing market — even for fashion lines. Urban collections in the sport sector are currently the motor for the industry. Designs that are functional while at the same time beautiful in a fashion sense enjoy a particularly long life cycle and because they are worn as “favorites,” they also contribute to sustainability.
As usual, Performance Days will approach the focus topic from different angles, highlighting the possibilities for both brands and the industry as a whole. The expert talks during day 2 of the fair pick up different points of view around the theme.
