Fashion for Good Webinar II: How Will EU Policies Impact Textile & Footwear Recycling?

Join Fashion for Good and the Policy Hub for Part 2 of their open webinar series, designed to help recyclers navigate the evolving EU regulatory landscape.
EU policies are complex, and apparently, so is hosting a webinar.

Due to unexpected technical issues, the last session was unfortunately cut short before the participants could dive into the discussion.

This session will offer clear insights into upcoming changes;  including eco-design requirements, extended producer responsibility (EPR) schemes, and traceability obligations. The organizer will unpack what these developments mean for recyclers and how to prepare strategically.

The session will include updated insights on the discussions, practical implications for recyclers, and time for questions and discussion.

📅 Date: 2nd July 2025
🕒 Time: 15:00 CEST
📍 Location: Online – Live on LinkedIn

Join for a panel moderated by Isabella Courtney, Innovation Associate at Fashion for Good, featuring Marina Prados Espinola, Director, and Vasilis Triantafyllidis, Public Affairs Analyst, both from Policy Hub – Circularity for Apparel & Footwear.

What will be covered:

✅ Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR): What is coming, what technical questions are on the table, and what would be the potential impacts for recyclers?
✅ Waste Framework Directive (WFD): What to expect from the implementation of EPR schemes and upcoming work on ecomodulation criteria?
✅ Data & Traceability: How will the digital product passport and revisions to physical labelling on product composition affect recycling operations?
✅ Opportunities for Innovation & Collaboration: Where recyclers fit in the circular economy vision under EU policy—and how to position strategically?
