Heimtextil 2026: ‘Sleep & Meet’ shall expand mattress area

Heimtextil, the leading international trade fair for home and contract textiles and textile design, is strategically expanding the Smart Bedding segment. A new exhibitor area will be created for the January 2026 edition: Sleep & Meet. This new format will take up around a quarter of Hall 4.0. Numerous well-known brands from the mattress sector have already registered to take part. With a clear structure and a high-quality environment, Sleep & Meet offers bedding retailers, hospitality and volume buyers direct access to relevant companies and industry participants, new product range perspectives and valuable business contacts.

Heimtextil meets Milan Design Week

Textile interior design at its best is an integral part of Heimtextil. Designer and architect Patricia Urquiola expressed this spectacularly in January in Frankfurt with her installation ‘among-us’. Now the leading trade fair is making its mark at Milan Design Week: exclusive products by Patricia Urquiola, created specifically for Heimtextil, are celebrating their premiere at the Design Week in Milan. Set within a diverse interior setting, they highlight the vital role textiles play in holistic design.

Textile interior design at its best is an integral part of Heimtextil. Designer and architect Patricia Urquiola expressed this spectacularly in January in Frankfurt with her installation ‘among-us’. Now the leading trade fair is making its mark at Milan Design Week: exclusive products by Patricia Urquiola, created specifically for Heimtextil, are celebrating their premiere at the Design Week in Milan. Set within a diverse interior setting, they highlight the vital role textiles play in holistic design.

Two pieces designed by Patricia Urquiola exclusively for Heimtextil are staged in Milan. With their organic shapes, the ‘Gruuvelot’ sofa and the padded sculpture ‘Mushmonster’ by Moroso morph to their surroundings and invite touching and interaction. ‘Gruuvelot’ represents an organism that expands and unfolds within space. Exceptional protrusions, extensions and volumes form a flowing seating ecosystem that adapts to the body and offers a variety of possibilities for interaction. ‘Mushmonster’ is inspired by the shape of a giant mushroom and shows an organism in constant metamorphosis. At the same time, it contains a filling that enables sustainable production and complex shapes. The covering designed by Patricia Urquiola envelops the padded object. Sustainable and innovative: the fabric is produced using a water-based and CO2-saving printing process.

Until Sunday, the upholstered pieces will merge with a new design environment at the heart of Milan Design Week. Patricia Urquiola designed the Palazzo Bovara for Elle Decor. Under the title ‘Alchemica’, the installation explores the home as a transforming organism that changes throughout the day, the seasons and the stages of life. The designer plays with the metaphor of alchemy, the senses, balance and opposites. She invites visitors to experience the metamorphosis in different rooms. Right in the centre: the padded sculptures of the Heimtextil installation ‘among-us’. ‘Gruuvelot’ is positioned in the purification and light phase in a reflective room with light tones. In the indoor garden, ‘Mushmonster’ is part of a union of opposites and biomorphs in moving, cyclical light.

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition: Comfort meets eco-consciousness and innovation

Fueled by robust demand, the fair wrapped up successfully on 13 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Over 370 exhibitors engaged with more than 25,000 visitors from 85 countries and regions, with total visitor numbers up by 8%, and the number of international visitors more than double that of the previous Spring Edition. As consumer preferences continue to evolve, buyers increasingly sought home products that harmoniously blend style, comfort and sustainability. This trend was evident throughout Hall 5.2, highlighted by the extensive mix of exhibitors and the accompanying fringe program focused on eco-innovation and smart sleep, reinforcing the fair as an important business platform for the advancing industry.

Speaking on the final day, Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said: “The visitor flow throughout the hall clearly demonstrated the strong demand and recovery within the Chinese home textile market, with many exhibitors reporting high-quality leads. Notably, there was a significant increase in overseas visitors, highlighting the event's growing international appeal. We observed various trends, but prominent themes were sustainability and smart bedding solutions, as more exhibitors are increasingly incorporating technology and eco-friendly practices into their materials and production processes. Overall, the comprehensive selection of products catered to the varied interests of buyers across the industry.”

Eco-consciousness has evolved from being just a nice-to-have to becoming an essential aspect in the home textiles market. In the bedding sector, this has led to a growing emphasis on organic, reusable, and recyclable materials that are free from hazardous chemicals. Throughout the three-day fair, the fairground was abuzz with products that offered both comfort and environmental responsibility.

From smart bedding, featuring temperature regulation and antibacterial technologies, to sustainable home textiles using biodegradable and organic materials, exhibitors showcased a diverse collection of solutions designed to elevate the modern home. Particularly notable was CoolisT Life Technology Co Ltd, which displayed bio-based biodegradable sponges, including Zero Foam and Hydrophilic Foam. Renowned buying brands, including Sainsbury’s, Americana International, Li & Fung, and many more, proactively pursued technological innovations, sustainable solutions, and high-end products to better meet the demands of consumers.

The fringe programme also played a key role in driving industry dialogue around eco-consciousness and innovation. The Green and Low Carbon Forum explored sustainable textiles for bedrooms and homes, while the Sleeping Aid Summit 2025 discussed the integration of smart home technologies into bedding. Another event in the spotlight was Timeless and Transformative Colour: Celebrating the Rich Diversity of Modern Living for 2026, held by the Pantone Color Institute. At this event, participants discovered the vibrant colour palettes for home interiors that are expected to be popular trends in 2026.

  • Fujian Anran Textile Technology Co Ltd (China) – holding over 50 patents and multiple certifications, it specialises in 3D spacer materials, fabrics, and various products.
  • Jiangyin Hongliu Bedsheet Co Ltd (China) – the company’s bedding set is crafted from high-quality nylon and spandex, offering a soft and comfortable texture. It features moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties while maintaining an elegant appearance.
  • Shinwon Felt (Korea) – utilising a needle punching technique, the company regenerates plastic waste into felt products. Its sustainable product lines, certified by GRS, contribute significantly to addressing plastic waste issues.
  • Tela's Design (Portugal) – a design studio specialising in home textile designs and decorations. Its core principles – colour, design, and detail – have established Tela as one of the leading and most successful textile design firms globally.

Carpets & Rugs verdreifachte 2025 die Zahl der Aussteller. Durch die neue Hallenstruktur erhält das Segment zusätzliche Wachstumsmöglichkeiten und wird um den neu eingeführten Produktbereich Flooring & Equipment ergänzt. Die Kombination aus textilen und non-textilen Bodenbelägen maximiert Synergien für Architekt*innen, Raumausstatter*innen und Baumärkte – und öffnet neue Perspektiven für Fachhandel und Handwerk.
 
In den Hallen 11.0 und 12.0 präsentieren führende Anbieter maschinen- und handgewebte sowie handgeknüpfte Teppiche, Unikate und Fußmatten. Heimtextil 2026 mit nicht-textilen Bodenbelägen

Zur Veranstaltung in 2026 launcht die Heimtextil einen neuen Produktbereich. Die non-textilen Bodenbeläge „Flooring & Equipment“ ergänzen das bestehende Portfolio mit Carpets & Rugs. Der neue Bereich der non-textilen Bodenbeläge knüpft direkt an das Teppichsegment an – was die Produktgruppen, aber auch die Platzierung auf dem Messegelände betrifft.

Die Messe soll ein ganzheitliches Einkaufserlebnis für Interior Design schaffen. Bei Flooring & Equipment liegt der Fokus auf Böden ohne textile Struktur. Dazu zählen elastische Bodenbeläge, Designbeläge/LVT, Korkböden, Laminatfußböden, Parkett und Holzfußböden sowie Outdoorbeläge.

Heimtextil 2025 mit Besucherplus

Mit 142 Teilnehmernationen, einem erneuten Aussteller- und Besucherplus sowie Top-Zufriedenheitswerten endete die Heimtextil 2025 am 17. Januar. Mit 142 Teilnehmernationen, einem erneuten Aussteller- und Besucherplus sowie Top-Zufriedenheitswerten endete die Heimtextil 2025 am 17. Januar. An vier Messetagen erlebten über 50.000 Einkäufer*innen die aktuellen Kollektionen, Materialien und textilen Lösungen für die gesamte Raumgestaltung von über 3.000 Ausstellern. Die Heimtextil Trends 25/26 von Alcova Milano und die Installation „among-us“ der Stardesignerin Patricia Urquiola setzten neue Maßstäbe für Interior Design, Handel und Hospitality. Das Content-Programm fokussierte auf KI-gestütztes Design, nachhaltige Produktionsprozesse und zukunftsweisende Innenräume.

Hohe Zufriedenheitswerte bestätigten die erfolgreiche Ausgabe der Heimtextil: 81 Prozent der Aussteller gaben an, ihre Messeziele erreicht zu haben. Mit 94 Prozent vergaben auch die Besucher*innen Spitzenwerte bei der Zufriedenheit. Die erhöhte Aufenthaltsdauer belegte, dass Fachbesucher*innen mehr Zeit auf der Messe verbrachten. Der hohe Anteil an Top-Entscheider*innen spiegelte Besucherqualität und Einkaufskompetenz wider. Die starke Internationalität, Qualität und globale Vielfalt verdeutlichte unter anderem der Erfolgsbereich Carpets & Rugs. Auf mehreren Hallenebenen erhielten Besucher*innen eine hochwertige Auswahl führender internationaler Teppichanbieter, stimmig in das Gesamtangebot der Heimtextil integriert. Neben Einkäufer*innen, Interior Designer*innen, Innenarchitekt*innen und Raumausstatter*innen profitierten auch spezialisierte Teppicheinkäufer*innen aus aller Welt von geschäftsfördernden Synergien für textiles Interior Design.
 
Heimtextil Trends 25/26 von Alcova: Leitfaden für die Branche
Als wichtige Inspirationsquelle halfen die Heimtextil Trends 25/26 dem Handel dabei, sein Angebot gezielt auf die aktuelle Marktlage und den zurückhaltenden Konsum auszurichten. Erstmals kuratierte die Mailänder Design-Plattform Alcova die Trend Arena und lieferte der Branche entscheidende Lösungsansätze. Unter dem Titel „Future Continuous“ veranschaulichte sie aktuelle Farben, Materialqualitäten, Techniken und Produktionsprozesse. Die Trendthemen „Naturally Uneven“, „Radically Restructured“ und „Regenerative“ spiegelten wider, was für Verbraucher*innen entscheidend ist: langlebige, hochwertige Produkte, die gleichzeitig ethischen und ökologischen Ansprüchen gerecht werden. Die diesjährige Farbpalette griff diese Stimmung auf – und reichte von Revival Mud, über New Green Deal bis zu Syntropic Forest.
 
Von KI bis Zirkularität: Heimtextil als globaler Wissenshub
Resilienz durch Wissensaustausch: Mit über 140 Vorträgen, Workshops und geführten Touren unterstützte die Heimtextil Industrie und Handel dabei, auf Marktveränderungen zu reagieren und Innovationen als Wettbewerbsvorteil zu nutzen. Die Fachbesucher*innen lernten, welche Geschäftsmöglichkeiten KI bietet und wie sie die traditionelle Textilproduktion oder die Kundenbetreuung bereichert. Renommierte Expert*innen stellten Best Practices und nachhaltige Business-Kooperationen zur Reduzierung von CO₂-Emissionen vor. Mit zukunftsweisenden Design- und Innenraumtrends setzte die Heimtextil den Fokus auf ganzheitliche Konzepte und förderte wirtschaftliche Potenziale für Handel, Hospitality und Innenarchitektur. „Die Heimtextil ist damit der globale Hub für lebenslanges Lernen für die gesamte textile Innenraumgestaltung“, betonte Olaf Schmidt.
 
Die Heimtextil 2026 findet vom 13. bis 16. Januar 2026 statt.

Heimtextil 2025 starts with over 3,000 exhibitors

Heimtextil kicks off the new trade fair year with over 3,000 exhibitors from 65 countries. At the opening, architect and designer Patricia Urquiola presented her installation ‘among-us’ at Heimtextil.

Visitors to the leading trade fair for home and contract textiles find a globally unique range of products on 16 hall levels. This spans from wallpapers, upholstery fabrics, mattresses and sleep systems, towelling products, textile designs, fibres and yarns to carpets. The Carpets & Rugs area counts three times as many exhibitors in 2025 and is growing by several hall levels.  

The Heimtextil Trends 25/26, curated for the first time by the Milan-based design platform Alcova, offer inspiration and sustainable solutions. In the Trend Arena in Hall 3.0, they are spectacularly staged. They are looking at material qualities, colours and innovative production processes.

The content programme covers the most important industry topics. It addresses different visitor groups – from retailers, wholesalers, industry, designers, furniture and bedding shops, interior architects, interior designers, architects, contract furnishers and many other decision-makers. At the Retail Stage in Hall 12.1, topics ranging from sleep and sustainability to AI in retail and optimising the customer experience are being highlighted. The Texpertise Stage in Hall 4.0 focuses on materials for contract furnishings, trends in hotel design, carpets and the Heimtextil Trends 25/26.

At the Heimtextil opening press conference, star designer and architect Patricia Urquiola presented her design installation ‘among-us’ in Hall 12.0. The area contains products made specially for Heimtextil. For example, a hanging carpet created by the traditional dhurrie technique. Patricia Urquiola developed the unique pieces together with partners such as Kettal, Moroso, cc-tapis, Aquafil and Cimento®. Embedded in the installation, they show retail and hospitality the possibilities opened up by the textile design of tomorrow. Patricia Urquiola emphasises holistically designed rooms and objects, living areas that merge seamlessly as well as materiality and versatility.

“‘among-us’ is a convivial and intuitive textile installation that shows the evolving possibilities of textiles, exploring their hybrid potentials across various scales – from product design to one/off pieces. The title, among-us, refers to the concept of being together and reflects the intent of the installation to celebrate hybrid new relations”, explains Patricia Urquiola.

In ‘among-us’, physical and virtual worlds merge through a grid on the floor inspired by drafting software. At the centre are textile elements in abstract and organic forms such as a sofa or an upholstered sculpture. They demonstrate the interplay of materials and technologies. Screens show their virtual counterparts and encourage interaction. At the same time, ‘among-us’ shows how textile innovations influence design processes. Textiles combine functionality, aesthetics and sustainability and create unique possibilities. The installation also shows how traditional craftsmanship can be integrated into the design of spaces and products.

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition returns in March 2025

March marks the peak textiles sourcing period in China. The period is set to be augmented by the next Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, scheduled for 11 – 13 March 2025 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The upcoming fair wants to continue the positive momentum achieved by the 2024 show, which featured 339 exhibitors from seven countries and regions, attracting over 23,700 buyers from 56 countries and regions. Eco-friendly materials and innovative technology will once again be at the forefront at next year’s show, building on the high-quality, functional, and sustainable home textiles that have emerged as dominant patterns in today’s market.

Despite a recent slowdown across industries, the global home textile market was valued at USD 133 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach USD 189 billion by 2029. Key trends expected to drive market growth include the rise of eco-friendly home textiles, technological innovations, and a growing interest in multifunctional and smart home textiles, among others, with many such options to be showcased at the upcoming show.

More Vietnamese enterprises are adopting eco-friendly materials, including organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Tencel, while numerous global brands manufacture in Vietnam, and have committed to the "Fashion Industry Charter on Climate Action", aiming to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

To further advance sustainable initiatives in the domestic and international textile industry, VIATT 2025 will introduce Econogy Hub, a dedicated platform for innovative, eco-friendly suppliers and service providers to connect with like-minded visitors. The show’s other new Texpertise Econogy features will include the Econogy Finder, an independent verification tool to help sustainable exhibitors effectively communicate their green credentials, and Econogy Talks, the overarching category for eco-focused seminars, forums, and product presentations.

Apart from sustainability, the Vietnamese textile industry is also embracing advanced technologies in design and manufacturing. The launch of the fair’s Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone will provide a centralised platform for exhibitors to showcase innovations such as 3D printing, AI-driven design, and digital printing, which enable manufacturers to boost efficiency and customise products to meet specific market demands.

As well as the introduction of two new product zones, the India Pavilion, organised by The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), will also make its debut at VIATT 2025. Additionally, the Japan and Taiwan Pavilions have confirmed their return, with the Japan Pavilion recognised by VIATT’s visitors as a standout showcase within Southeast Asia's textile fair landscape. Overall, the fair will feature a diverse range of exhibitors across apparel, home textiles, and technical textiles, with many showcasing innovative and sustainable products.

Textilien spielen dabei eine zentrale Rolle: Sie verbinden Menschen mit ihrem kulturellen Erbe und schaffen durch ihre Haptik einen Kontrast zur virtuellen Existenz. In der derzeitigen Wegwerfkultur, die auf kurzlebige, oft unreparierbare Produkte setzt, stehen Textilien und Handwerkskunst für Authentizität, Nachhaltigkeit und echte Werte. Sie schaffen einen Moment der Achtsamkeit in einer von Bildschirmen geprägten Welt – und geben das Gefühl, wieder etwas wirklich berühren zu können. Auch Ilse Crawford, Interior Designerin und Gründerin von StudioIlse, betont: In einer zunehmend digitalen und körperlosen Welt entsteht ein tiefes Bedürfnis nach physischer Verbundenheit. Naturfasern wie Hanf, Jute, Flachs und Nessel erleben ein bemerkenswertes Comeback. Wegen ihrer Langlebigkeit und Behaglichkeit werden sie seit Jahrhunderten geschätzt. Christine Ladstätter, Managerin für Innovation bei Salewa, weist auf einen weiteren wichtigen Aspekt hin: In den letzten Jahrzehnten hat sich ein Trend zu einer stärkeren Wertschätzung lokaler Materialien und Techniken entwickelt. Ihre Projekte betonen die wachsende Bedeutung des Handwerks. Der Fokus liegt auf der Förderung der lokalen Landwirtschaft und dem Erhalt traditioneller Weidelandschaften.

Zirkularität und Transparenz als Grundlage der Zukunft
Schneller Konsum und Wegwerfkultur dominieren die heutige Welt. Doch die Bedeutung von Sorgfalt und Weitsicht wird immer offensichtlicher – auch in der Textilindustrie. Der Sektor steht vor einem Wandel: hin zu einer nachhaltigen, vernetzten und transparenten Zukunft. Dirk Vantyghem, Generaldirektor von Euratex, hebt hervor, dass der Textilsektor in der EU derzeit mehr denn je im Mittelpunkt stehe – nicht zuletzt dank des Europäischen Green Deals. In einer Zeit globaler Unsicherheit wächst das Bedürfnis nach langlebigen, funktionalen und nachhaltigen Produkten. Viele Hersteller verwenden Begriffe wie ‚nachhaltig‘ oder ‚zirkulär‘ oft willkürlich. Daher setzt sich das Europäische Parlament für mehr Rückverfolgbarkeit in der Lieferkette – und bekämpft dadurch Greenwashing und ermöglicht Verbraucher*innen fundiertere Kaufentscheidungen. Simone van der Burg und Lucas Evers, beide Gruppenleiter im WAAG Future-Lab, betonen die Bedeutung einer offenen und mitgestaltenden Produktion. Ihr Ansatz zielt darauf ab, lokale Ressourcen wie Farben und Fasern aus natürlichen Quellen zu nutzen. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei die Demokratisierung von Herstellungsprozessen: Designer und Kreative erhalten Zugang zu Open-Source-Werkzeugen und Ressourcen, um frei zu experimentieren – ohne hohe Kosten. Die italienische Designerin und Dozentin Eugenia Morpurgo fordert dazu auf, die landwirtschaftlichen Praktiken der Textilproduktion grundlegend zu überdenken und von erdölbasierten Materialien abzurücken. Sie warnt vor ökonomischen Modellen, die Wegwerfprodukte gegenüber langlebigen Alternativen bevorzugen. Ihr Projekt „Syntropic Materials“ untersucht regenerative Landwirtschaft als nachhaltige Lösung für Textilien und Lebensmittel. Das Ziel ist es, die Bodengesundheit und die Biodiversität zu verbessern. Morpurgo betont, dass bei der Bewertung von Nachhaltigkeit die wahren Kosten – von Ressourcenverbrauch bis hin zu langfristiger Bodenfruchtbarkeit – berücksichtigt werden müssen.

17 buyer delegations from 16 countries and regions pre-registered and visited the sourcing platform, including manufacturers, designers, buying houses, distributors, chain stores and retailers from Algeria, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Moldova, Morocco, Myanmar, Philippines, Russia, Thailand, Vietnam and more. Not to mention, VIP buyers from all over the world utilised the platform to meet annual sourcing targets.

Every year, the platform aims to reflect market trends, and has identified green progress as one of its major focuses going forward. Along with the 10th Home Textiles and Furniture Industry Ecological Integration Forum, the events under this theme will explore effective business strategies across sectors on Day 1 afternoon.

Industry Empowerment
Bridging Borders: A Designer x Producer Talk on Sustainability will bring together designers and manufacturers from the East and West to address sustainability challenges and strike a balance among all stakeholders – this round table discussion is scheduled for Day 2 afternoon.

Within the Econogy Talks umbrella, the Sustainable Fibre Forum in Home Textiles will provide a platform for green producers such as 3M, Advansa, and Indorama to share their latest eco-friendly innovations with home textile applications. VIATT 2025: Multifaceted fair poised to aid rejuvenation of Vietnam's textile industry

After navigating the challenges of 2023, Vietnam's textile and garment exports have been gradually recovering. Additionally, foreign direct investment (FDI) into Vietnam during the first five months of this year reached USD 11 billion, a 2% year-on-year increase, according to the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI). To cater to Vietnam’s renewed business opportunities, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will return from 26 – 28 February 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).

After navigating the challenges of 2023, Vietnam's textile and garment exports have been gradually recovering. This will include the fair’s new Econogy Hub, a dedicated zone to advance the topic of sustainability in the textile industry, and to relate it closely to the demands of economic and social change. Together with the evolving environmental landscape, the fair will also help industry players adapt to the rapid adoption of new technology in the business world with the debut of the Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone. This zone will allow exhibitors to unveil the latest technology and solutions such as AI design, digital manufacturing, big data analytics, and more.

Concurrently, VIATT 2025 will continue to present a diverse range of exhibitors across the apparel, home textile and technical textile sectors, with positive feedback received from many quarters at the fair’s inaugural edition.

Apparel Fabrics & Fashion
In the first four months of 2024, textile and garment exports grew 6.3% year-on-year to over USD 10 billion. The US remains Vietnam’s top export market, followed by the EU, South Korea, China, and Japan. To meet this demand, Vietnam's textile industry continues to import a significant amount of raw materials. At VIATT 2024, yarns, fibres and fabrics for casualwear, sportswear and uniforms, as well as garment accessories, were in high demand.

Home & Contract Textiles
Vietnam’s home textile market is projected to undergo a steady CAGR of 2.4% from 2024 – 2032, driven by the rising need for modern and stylish home textiles, e-commerce expansion, and favourable government initiatives. At the fair’s previous edition, product groups included bedding, loungewear and bathroom textiles, curtains and curtain fabrics, upholstery and sofa fabrics, and home textile accessories.

At VIATT 2025, exhibitors can additionally present their latest offerings in the Home Textiles Display Zone or at dedicated product presentations, to maximise their visibility to potential buyers.

Technical Textiles & Technologies
Across the textile industry, investors are now focusing on optimising production capacity, streamlining supply chains, and enhancing product quality to maintain competitiveness in both domestic and international markets. With the new Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone to supplement the textile technology category, VIATT 2025 is set to play host to providers of textile and nonwoven machinery, CAD/CAM, CMT, and technology for embroidery, knitting, sewing, printing, and more. Mit 46.000 Besucher*innen aus rund 130 Nationen an insgesamt vier Messetagen und dem Preview Day sowie 2.838 Ausstellern aus 60 Nationen endete die Heimtextil 2024 mit einem deutlichen Zuwachs im Vergleich zur Vorveranstaltung.

Mit dem Besucherplus überwand sie erschwerte Reisebedingungen aufgrund bundesweiter Bahnstreiks und regionaler Demonstrationen. Die Resonanz internationaler Einkäufer*innen auf das neue Produktsegment Carpets & Rugs war überzeugend in Qualität und Vielfalt. Mit zahlreichen Talks, Tours und Workshops rückte die Heimtextil zwei der wichtigsten Zukunftsthemen in den Fokus: nachhaltiges Produzieren und Handeln sowie Künstliche Intelligenz.

Mit 46.000 Besucher*innen aus rund 130 Nationen an insgesamt vier Messetagen und dem Preview Day sowie 2.838 Ausstellern aus 60 Nationen endete die Heimtextil 2024 mit einem deutlichen Zuwachs im Vergleich zur Vorveranstaltung.

Mit dem Besucherplus überwand sie erschwerte Reisebedingungen aufgrund bundesweiter Bahnstreiks und regionaler Demonstrationen. Die Resonanz internationaler Einkäufer*innen auf das neue Produktsegment Carpets & Rugs war überzeugend in Qualität und Vielfalt. Mit zahlreichen Talks, Tours und Workshops rückte die Heimtextil zwei der wichtigsten Zukunftsthemen in den Fokus: nachhaltiges Produzieren und Handeln sowie Künstliche Intelligenz.

Die Top-Ten-Ausstellerländer bildeten China, Indien, die Türkei, Pakistan, Italien, Deutschland, Spanien, Portugal, Großbritannien und die Niederlande. Ausstellerseitigen Zuwachs gab es aus Belgien, Bulgarien, China, Indien, Japan, Polen, Schweden, Tschechien, USA und Ägypten.
