FINDEISEN: Marco Fischer übernimmt Leitung Anwendungstechnik

Zum 1.7.2023 übernimmt Marco Fischer die Leitung des Bereiches Anwendungstechnik bei FINDEISEN. Der Nadelvlieshersteller aus Ettlingen hat sich im Rahmen seiner Zukunftsstrategie als Ziel gesetzt, seine Serviceleistungen für Verarbeiter und Handel weiter auszubauen. Eine Hauptaufgabe von Marco Fischer wird deshalb der Aufbau zusätzlicher Ressourcen sein, um noch mehrv Schulungen, Baustellenbetreuungen usw. als bisher anbieten zu können.

Marco Fischer ist seit 2018 als Anwendungstechniker bei FINDEISEN beschäftigt. Dort betreute er unter anderem das Schulungs- und Reklamationswesen. Der gelernte Raumausstatter war zuvor bei verschiedenen renommierten Handwerksbetrieben tätig und ist bis heute als Gesellenprüfer im Raumausstatterhandwerk aktiv.

Marco Salvadè appointed new ACIMIT President

At the association’s General Assembly held on July 4th, Marco Salvadè has been appointed to replace Alessandro Zucchi as President of ACIMIT.

Marco Salvadè began his career at Salvadè Srl, the family company specializing in the finishing machinery sector, founded by his father and uncle in 1967. After being a member of the company’s board of directors, he has been President since 2021.

Following the election of Salvadè, the General Assembly expressed its gratitude to the outgoing president, Alessandro Zucchi, who has guided the association for the past six years.

At the association’s General Assembly held on July 4th, Marco Salvadè has been appointed to replace Alessandro Zucchi as President of ACIMIT.

Marco Salvadè began his career at Salvadè Srl, the family company specializing in the finishing machinery sector, founded by his father and uncle in 1967. After being a member of the company’s board of directors, he has been President since 2021.

Following the election of Salvadè, the General Assembly expressed its gratitude to the outgoing president, Alessandro Zucchi, who has guided the association for the past six years.

Along with the new president, the General Assembly also elected its new Vice Presidents, Chiara Bonino (Bonino Carding Machines SRL), Federico Businaro (Sperotto Rimar SRL), Ugo Ghilardi (Itema SpA) and Cristian Locatelli (Marzoli Machines Textile SRL). Marco Salvadè’s first comments as newly appointed ACIMIT president: “I wish to thank the Assembly for the trust they have placed in me, and I want to express my gratitude to the former President Alessandro Zucchi for everything he has done during the last six years to strengthen the role of the association and of Italian industry on the international scene. With the new vice-presidents and the ACIMIT Board, I will continue the work that has been done in recent years by previous presidents. It will certainly not be a simple task, but one that will no doubt prove stimulating. My primary goal is to increase the sense of belonging to ACIMIT of its member companies, with which we share the same values, and to adjust the association’s strategies to changing conditions in the economic and geopolitical context.”

Hochschule Niederrhein: Studierende präsentieren Kollektionen auf der Neo.Fashion

Der Fachbereich Textil- und Bekleidungstechnik der Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) ist mit sieben Graduierten auf der Neo.Fashion (11. & 12. Juli) im Rahmen der Berlin Fashion Week vertreten. Die „Best Graduate Show“ gibt jährlich den besten Absolventinnen und Absolventen deutscher Hochschulen in der Fachrichtung Design während der Fashion Week in Berlin die Möglichkeit, sich der Fachwelt vorzustellen.

Die HSNR-Absolventinnen und Absolventen zeigen innovative, diverse und nachhaltige Kollektionen. Das Besondere daran: Durch ihre Ausbildung im kreativen und technischen Bereich sind sie nicht nur in der Lage, ästhetisch schöne Bekleidung und Textilien zu entwickeln. Dank der Ausbildung in den Ingenieursfächern und der Nutzungsmöglichkeit der 32 Labore an der Hochschule können sie von der Faser bis zum fertigen Produkt ihre Kollektionen entlang der gesamten textilen Kette zu gestalten. Das beinhaltet die Flächen- und Formgestaltung an hochmodernen Strickmaschinen genauso wie das Erarbeiten von gedruckten und gelaserten Flächen und die Fertigung mit modernster Ultraschalltechnologie.

Mit PLAY PAUSE! entwickelte Jana Lewin eine monomateriale Strickkollektion als fantasievollen Gegenentwurf zu Leben und Stimmung in Krisenzeiten. Ein großer Bestandteil des Designprozesses bestand darin, die Flächen und Strukturen an Strickmaschinen in den Laboren des Fachbereichs Textil- und Bekleidungstechnik zu entwickeln. Mit dem Ergebnis wurde sie als Best Graduate 2023 der HSNR ausgewählt und darf in einer Abschluss-Show ihre Kollektion zusätzlich zeigen.

Sonja Kreiterling präsentiert ihre Kollektion „There´s blood“. Die Kollektion hat das klare Ziel, auf die Stigmatisierungen der Menstruation aufmerksam zu machen, Barrieren zu durchbrechen und eine Aussage zu Female Empowerment zu treffen.

Mit ihrer Kollektion CODE BLUE setzt Pauline Geißler ein Statement gegen die Bedrohung mariner Tierarten und ihrer Lebensräume durch Umweltverschmutzung. Die Kollektion ist recyclingfähig und nach dem Prinzip des Low Waste konzipiert.

Die Kollektion „mimicry“ von Max Glaubrecht basiert auf dem Bewusstsein für die Abnutzung von Materialien und übersetzt diese Ästhetik in ein Designkonzept für eine geschlechtsneutrale und alterslose Streetwear-Kollektion. Neuwertigkeit und Aspekte der Ab-/Nutzung werden miteinander kombiniert und unter Einbeziehung unterschiedlicher textiler Technologien, wie z.B. dem Drucken und dem Plissieren ins Textildesign übersetzt und integriert.

Jenny Evgenia Johnson setzte sich für ihre Kollektion „Perception of Illusion“ mit illusionistischen Täuschungen in der Mode und der Analyse des Trompe-l’oeil-Effektes auseinander. In der Designkonzeption werden zwei kontrastierende Elemente – Metall und Luft – vereint.

Isabell Fuseks Kollektion INSIDEOUT ist bewusst experimentell gestaltet, um die Wirkung einzelner Emotionen wie Ekel, Überraschung oder Trauer darzustellen und textil zu übersetzen. Das Design soll sich nicht an den üblichen Standards der „ready to wear“ Fashion orientieren, sondern setzt sich außerhalb der gängigen Konventionen mit der Visualisierung von Gefühlen auseinander.

Die Kollektion „Dressed in Shadows“ von Anna Droemont ist inspiriert von Schatten und ihren Eigenschaften wie Leichtigkeit, Flüchtigkeit und Wandelbarkeit. Das Produktdesign ist variabel und kann je nach Wunsch umgestaltet und theoretisch unbegrenzt erweitert werden.

Amanda Rajkumar to step down from adidas Executive Board

Amanda Rajkumar [51], Executive Board member and Labor Director of adidas AG, responsible for Global Human Resources, People and Culture, has informed adidas AG’s Supervisory Board that she will not extend her Executive Board mandate beyond December 31, 2023. The Supervisory Board has accepted her decision and agreed on the termination of her appointment as an Executive Board member effective July 15, 2023.

With 28 years of human resources experience in global organizations, Amanda Rajkumar joined the adidas board as Head of Global Human Resources, People and Culture at the beginning of 2021. At adidas, she devised and implemented a People strategy aimed at efficiently harmonizing and unifying employee experience across the company and establishing adidas as a global values-led organization.

Michelle Robertson, SVP Workplaces & Global Functions at adidas, will assume responsibility for Global Human Resources, People and Culture on an interim basis, reporting to adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden.

Dr. Christian Hauer neues BVMed-Vorstandsmitglied

Dr. Christian Hauer von Fresenius Kabi ist seit dem 1. Juli 2023 neues Vorstandsmitglied beim Bundesverband Medizintechnologie (BVMed). Er folgt im neunköpfigen BVMed-Vorstand auf Markus Wiegmann von Stryker Deutschland, der aus dem Unternehmen ausscheiden wird.

Der promovierte Wirtschaftsingenieur Dr. Christian Hauer ist Vorstandsmitglied bei der Fresenius Kabi AG sowie Präsident Fresenius Kabi MedTech. Seine berufliche Karriere begann er in den Jahren 1998 bis 2012 bei Drägerwerk, bevor er zu Fresenius Kabi wechselte. Er war bereits von 2014 bis 2018 Mitglied im BVMed-Vorstand.

Markus Wiegmann war seit 2020 Mitglied des BVMed-Vorstands und zuletzt bei Stryker Geschäftsführer für Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz und Polen. Der BVMed-Vorstand dankt Markus Wiegmann für sein großes Engagement und die aktive Unterstützung insbesondere in den Bereichen Digitalisierung, Endoprothetik, Robotik sowie pflegeunterstützende Technologien.

Für zwei Absolventinnen des Master-Studiengangs Textile Produkte der Hochschule Niederrhein gab es gleich doppelten Grund zur Freude: Sie feierten zusammen mit ihren ehemaligen Kommiliton:innen des Fachbereichs Textil- und Bekleidungstechnik nicht nur ihren Abschluss, sondern erhielten auch eine ganz besondere Auszeichnung: Sie nahmen je 1500 Euro Preisgeld für ihre herausragenden Abschlussarbeiten entgegen.

Das Textile and Fashion Network (TFN, der Förderverein des Fachbereichs) unterstützt Franziska Guth, die anderen 1500 Euro stiftet der Verband der Rheinischen Textil- und Bekleidungsindustrie e.V. an Tabea Hofemeister.

Preisträgerin Franziska Guth hat ihre Arbeit zusammen mit der KARL MAYER GROUP erstellt. Darin befasste sie sich mit den strategischen Herausforderungen von Smarten Textilien. Franziska Guth hat einen kettengewirkten (Maschenware bestehend aus mehreren senkrecht laufenden Fäden) Smart Textile Demonstrator entwickelt. Konkret geht es um einen berührungslosen Bewegungssensor zur Gestenerkennung aus einem Abstandsgewirke mit leitfähigem Garn, der als Steuerungstool für unterschiedliche Anwendungen wie im Automobil-Interieur verwendet werden kann. Er wurde schon 2022 auf der Techtextil in Frankfurt präsentiert. Mit ihrem innovativen Ansatz und ihrem eigens konzipierten Sensor leistete sie einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Entwicklung von Smart Textiles auf Wirkmaschinen.
Guth arbeitet mittlerweile bei der KARL MAYER GROUP als textile Produktentwicklerin und feilt dort weiter an innovativen textilen Strukturen, die sich auf Wirkmaschinen herstellen lassen.

Das Ziel der Masterarbeit von Tabea Hofemeister war es, Methoden einzuführen, mit denen sich die Chemikaliendichtigkeit persönlicher Schutzausrüstung prüfen lässt. Diese fehlten bislang im Bestand der Öffentlichen Prüfstelle für das Textilwesen der Hochschule Niederrhein. Mithilfe des Abrinntests überprüfte sie, ob Flüssigkeit in das Material gelangt oder daran gehindert wird. Zum anderen untersuchte sie, wie beständig die Schutzkleidung gegen das Durchdringen von Chemikalien im Spraytest ist. Auf Basis technischer Anforderungen ermittelte sie verschiedene Optionen für eine Konstruktion der Prüfeinrichtungen und führte sie in das bestehende Qualitätsmanagementsystem ein.
Hofemeister ist derzeit Doktorandin in der Fahrzeugsicherheit bei Volkswagen in Wolfsburg.

Kelheim Fibres: Change in Management Team

After nearly 30 years with the company, Matthew North, Commercial Director at the viscose specialty fibre manufacturer Kelheim Fibres, will retire on July 1, 2023. Throughout his long and successful career, he has played a significant role in transforming Kelheim Fibres from a supplier of standard fibres to the European textile industry into a supplier of predominantly customized specialty fibres for the hygiene, specialty paper, and textile industries.

Mark von der Becke will assume the position of Sales Director and become part of the management team at Kelheim Fibres. The 48-year-old brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, and key account management. He has held various leadership positions in renowned companies such as Hoechst, Clariant, and DS Smith in Germany, Switzerland, and China. He is known for successfully developing and implementing strategy and change programs.

The Board of Directors of Rieter Holding Ltd. unanimously has appointed Oliver Streuli to the Group Executive Committee of Rieter Group as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 1, 2023.

Oliver Streuli was from June 2019 until April 2023 CEO at PCS Holding AG in Frauenfeld (Switzerland), a private institutional investment company, where he was responsible for developing the investment strategy as well as the financial and strategic supervision of the industrial portfolio companies. He was also project manager for the IPO on the SIX Swiss Exchange at Stadler Rail AG, Bussnang (Switzerland). Previously, he held different positions at UBS.

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Swiss Steel Holding AG, Lucerne (Switzerland), and of Autoneum Holding AG, Winterthur (Switzerland).

Brandon Hall ist neuer Director Consumer bei der Optima Machinery Corporation

Brandon Hall ist seit Mitte Juni neuer Director Consumer bei der Optima Tochtergesellschaft Optima Machinery Corporation in Green Bay (Wisconsin, USA). Optima stärkt damit den Vertrieb von Abfüll- und Verpackungsanlagen für den Konsumgüter-Markt in Nordamerika und trägt dem positiven Wachstum im Geschäftsbereich Consumer Rechnung.

Hall bringt mehr als 30 Jahre Erfahrung in den Bereichen Fertigung, Technik, Produktdesign und Geschäftsentwicklung mit. Bevor er zu Optima kam, war Hall Strategic Business Unit Manager bei einem der weltweit größten System- und Komponentenlieferanten für die Lebensmittel-, Getränke- und Pharmaindustrie. Er hat mehrere Studienabschlüsse in Betriebswirtschaft und Maschinenbau. „Ich freue mich sehr auf Optima und die Möglichkeit, das Wachstum des Geschäftsbereichs Consumer weiter voranzutreiben”, sagt Hall über seine neue Aufgabe.

Brandon Hall ist seit Mitte Juni neuer Director Consumer bei der Optima Tochtergesellschaft Optima Machinery Corporation in Green Bay (Wisconsin, USA). Vlietinck brings a wealth of knowledge in sales and the outdoor industry, previously serving as the head of Apparel & Footwear for Katoen Natie, as well as working for brands such as Reebok, Merrell, and Vannese. "Mario’s background in product development, business development, and international sales positions him as a great asset to our company goals,” said Humphris. Vlietinck will report to Leonardo Loro.

Sales Territory Reorganization
Wim Neels, VP of business development for fashion and lifestyle, will be responsible for all Fashion & Lifestyle brands across Europe, with the exception of Italy & Spain, which remain the responsibility of Leonardo Loro.

Bartosz Lassak will expand his territory responsibility to include outdoor performance brands in the United Kingdom, in addition to Eastern Europe and Turkey. He will also handle any opportunities from North Africa, as well as any brands located outside of other European coverage.

Valerie Raths Goesel will oversee the management of all outdoor performance brands in the Germany, Austria, and Switzerland region.

Mats Jengard will remain the territory manager for Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Finland & Iceland), focusing outdoor performance brands.

Seit 01.06.2023 ist Linda Klopsch Geschäftsführerin der Texoversum Experts & Training Hub gGmbH (i.Gr.). Nach ihrem Studium der Textiltechnologie in Reutlingen, entwickelte die 35-Jährige am Deutschen Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. faserverstärkte Keramiken. Ein High Performance Material, welches vor allem auf Grund seiner hohen Temperaturbeständigkeit in Flugzeug- und Raketentriebwerken eingesetzt wird. Zuletzt leitete Linda Klopsch die Abteilung Keramische Verbundstrukturen. Am Institut für Materials Resource Management der Universität Augsburg übernahm sie darüber hinaus eine Lehrbeauftragung im Bereich textiler Flächenerzeugnisse und deren Herstellung, um ihre Faszination für die Vielfalt dieser Produkte weiterzugeben.

September 2023 für das Amt des BTE-Präsidenten kandidieren. Steffen Jost (64), aktueller Präsident des BTE und geschäftsführender Gesellschafter des Modehauses Jost (Grünstadt), stellt sein Amt zur Mitte der Wahlperiode zur Verfügung, da er sich sukzessive aus dem operativen Geschäft zurückziehen wird.

Steffen Jost ist seit 2007 Präsident des BTE und vertritt den BTE bzw. den Textil-, Schuh- und Lederwarenhandel auch im Vorstand des HDE Handelsverband Deutschland. Mark Rauschen ist seit 2021 Mitglied des BTE-Präsidiums.

Project "Grow Your Own Couture" by Piero D’angelo wins IMAGINING SUSTAINABLE FASHION AWARD 2023

“Grow Your Couture” by Piero D'angelo, the winning project of the IMAGINING SUSTAINABLE FASHION (ISFA) competition was announced during a webinar broadcast on 18 May attended by Giusy Bettoni CEO of C.L.A.S.S. Eco Hub, Anna Detheridge President of Connecting Cultures and ISFA ambassadors Valentina Suarez, co-founder and CEO of Universo Mola and Vishal Tolambia winner of the 2022 edition.

Piero D'angelo's project was the best among the 110 proposals received after the international call for proposals launched on 27 October 2022.

Piero D'Angelo, 36, a graduate in Fashion Womenswear from the Royal College of Art in London and in Textile Design from Central Saint Martins, is a Fashion and Textile Designer with a research focus on biotechnology in the fashion industry. In 2022 he founded his Fashion & Textile Design studio experimenting with a multidisciplinary approach on the importance of natural materials and Biodesign. From 2018 to 2022 Piero D'Angelo was a resident and then Product Researcher & Developer at Open Cell (Biotech Research Park), a biotech start-up community in London. He was awarded the Dorothy Waxman Textile Design Prize in 2015 and semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2020.

In his communication project, 'Grow Your Own Couture' D'Angelo imagines a future scenario where it will be possible to grow one's own clothes through living organisms such as lichens that are able to absorb pollution. But the project also wants to communicate a return to nature and above all care and protection towards it. In fact, the user is not simply a user of fashion, but through a kit is part of the process of growth, care and creation of the garment, thus abandoning the traditional paradigms of fashion. The project wants to completely re-imagine the way fashion could be designed, produced and used, proposing not only a product, but also a system that wants to collaborate with nature instead of polluting or exploiting it.

Manfred Hackl has been with EREMA since 1995 and, prior to joining the management team, was responsible for the product development and market launch of VACUREMA technology that closed the loop in the bottle-to-bottle segment efficiently and cost effectively. In his current role as CEO of the EREMA Group and in various roles in well-known national and international associations he promotes plastics recycling and circular economy across the industry, regionally and throughout Europe - especially at EU level - encouraging everybody in the industry to work together.

Already on June 30, 2023, ERWO Holding Management Board member Hans-Georg von Schuh will retire as planned. ERWO Holding Management Board member Manfred Heinrich will also leave the Board as planned at this time and will continue to hold his mandate as one of the managing directors in the Südwolle Group together with Stéphane Thouvay and Johannes Rauch.

Hoftex Group is a group of medium-sized companies in the textile industry, in which ERWO Holding holds a significant stake. Spörl has a degree in business administration and has been working for Hoftex Group since 2000. She was granted power of attorney in 2015, followed by appointments as CFO of the Hoftex Group in 2020 and CFO of the ERWO Group in 2022. A search for a successor for Spörl in the position of CFO of the Hoftex Group and, subsequently, of ERWO Holding is currently underway. Until the new CFO takes office, the two members of the Management Board, together with the Supervisory Board, will ensure an orderly transition.

The announced change in the Management Board of ERWO Holding, which acts as the parent company of the Südwolle Group, also ensures continuity at the leading manufacturer of worsted yarns for weaving, circular and flat knitting products in pure wool and wool blends. In the future, the management of Südwolle Group will continue to consist of the longstanding members Manfred Heinrich (Technology, Production & Planning), Johannes Rauch (Finance & Controlling) and Stéphane Thouvay (Sales & Marketing and Product Management & Innovation). Together with the designated board member of the parent company ERWO Holding, they will continue the successful development of the Südwolle Group from a mere supplier to a strategic partner of its customers as well as the growth trend of recent years.

The founding family Steger remains involved in the various supervisory bodies of the group of companies and will continue to work closely with them as the sole shareholder of ERWO Holding.

Der Verwaltungsrat der STF Schweizerischen Textilfachschule hat bekannt gegeben, dass die derzeitige Direktorin, Frau Sonja Amport, die STF per 30.06.2023 verlässt. Sie scheidet auf eigenen Wunsch aus dem Unternehmen aus, um sich neu zu orientieren und sich einer neuen Herausforderung zu stellen.

Christian Gärtner wird das Amt des Direktors ad Interim ab dem 1. Juli 2023 übernehmen. Er ist seit 2012 an der Bildungsinstitution als Dozent tätig, seit 2015 als Studiengang- und Fachbereichsleiter sowie Mitglied des Schulleitungsteams und seit 2019 als Chief Operating Officer maßgeblich am Betrieb und der Organisation beteiligt.
