Karl Mayer: warp-knitted textiles having sensor functions
For the first time the machinery manufacturer Karl Mayer Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH, Obertshausen/Germany, is participating at the international fair for sporting goods Ispo Munich on February 3-6, 2019 in Munich/Germany to familiarize the sportswear and outdoor sectors with warp knitting technology.
Karl Mayer shows how electrically conductive yarns can be incorporated directly into the textile in a single step during fabric production (Textile-Circuit). This can produce warp-knitted textiles having sensor functions, which are opening up new potential applications in the sportswear and outdoor sectors.
Furthermore, Karl Mayer will be exhibiting new articles which are following the principles of body mapping and Leisuree.Fashion, a new concept for producing sporty athleisure wear and comfortable, everyday clothing, as well as conventional underwear and lingerie.
