“The Value of CO2: The Power of Biotechnology”

Organized in the frame of the research project BioRECO2VER (www.bioreco2ver.eu) funded by the European Union.

As carbon is the main component of hundreds of materials used in industrial processes and in our daily lives, the increasing demand for these products needs to be met in a sustainable way. Various types of renewable carbon can be used for this, including CO2. Industrial biotechnology has great potential to combat harmful CO2 emissions and convert CO2 into value-added products, but there are still some technical and economic obstacles to overcome.

Learn all about innovative biotechnological conversion processes that have been studied and evaluated in the EU-funded BioRECO2VER project for CO2 capture and conversion. The project presentations will be complemented by industrial and policy perspectives through contributions from three external guest speakers from the nova Institute, Electrochaea and CO2 Value Europe.
