BVMed: Mark Jalaß folgt als Vorsitzender auf Dr. Meinrad Lugan

Mark Jalaß (58) von Lohmann & Rauscher ist auf der Mitgliederversammlung des Bundesverbandes Medizintechnologie (BVMed) am 11. April 2024 in Berlin zum neuen Vorstandsvorsitzenden gewählt worden. Er folgt auf Dr. Meinrad Lugan, der nach 17 Jahren die Führung des deutschen Medizintechnik-Verbandes übergibt. Mark Jalaß ist Direktor Marketing und Vertrieb ambulanter Bereich und Industrie bei Lohmann & Rauscher. Zu Stellvertretenden Vorsitzenden wurden Dorothee Stamm von Medtronic und Marc Michel von Peter Brehm gewählt.

Mark Jalaß ist seit 2018 im BVMed-Vorstand und seit 2008 als Sprecher verschiedener BVMed-Arbeitskreise aktiv. Seine berufliche Karriere begann der Industriekaufmann und systemischer Business Coach als Produktmanager und Außendienstmitarbeiter bei Schülke & Mayr. Danach war er bei Beiersdorf, BSN Medical und Coloplast tätig, bevor er 2009 zu Lohmann & Rauscher wechselte. Dort ist er seit 2017 Direktor Marketing und Vertrieb ambulanter Bereich und Industrie, Mitglied im globalen Vertriebs- und Marketingsteuerungsteam sowie seit 2020 Leiter von drei Handelstochterunternehmen von Lohmann & Rauscher in Deutschland.

Braun und Dr. med Hans-Christian Wirtz von Johnson & Johnson. Außerdem ist BVMed-Geschäftsführer Dr. Marc-Pierre Möll Mitglied des Vorstands.

Ausgeschieden aus dem BVMed-Vorstand sind neben Dr. Meinrad Lugan auch der bisherige Stellvertretende Vorsitzende Dr. Manfred Elff (Biotronik) sowie Manfred Hinz (3M) und Kristof Boogaerts (Johnson & Johnson Medical).

Dr. Meinrad Lugan und Dr. Manfred Elff wurden von den BVMed-Mitgliedern auf der Mitgliederversammlung aufgrund ihrer langjährigen Verdienste zu Ehrenmitgliedern des Vorstands gewählt.

SGL Carbon: CEO Dr. Torsten Derr will not extend contract

The CEO of SGL Carbon SE, Dr. Torsten Derr, informed the Chairman of the Supervisory Board today that he will not extend his contract, which expires on May 31, 2025. Dr. Derr will continue his duties until the new CEO is appointed, at the latest until May 31, 2025.

“SGL Carbon is once again a strong and stable company whose profitable development I will continue to work on with all my strength until the last day. But even without me, my colleague on the Board of Management, Thomas Dippold, and the team will continue to develop the company successfully. The last almost four years have always been the achievement of the entire SGL team. SGL Carbon is now sailing in stable waters and my transformation work will therefore be completed shortly,” explains Dr. Torsten Derr.

The CEO of SGL Carbon SE, Dr. Torsten Derr, informed the Chairman of the Supervisory Board today that he will not extend his contract, which expires on May 31, 2025. Dr. Derr will continue his duties until the new CEO is appointed, at the latest until May 31, 2025.

“SGL Carbon is once again a strong and stable company whose profitable development I will continue to work on with all my strength until the last day. But even without me, my colleague on the Board of Management, Thomas Dippold, and the team will continue to develop the company successfully. The last almost four years have always been the achievement of the entire SGL team. SGL Carbon is now sailing in stable waters and my transformation work will therefore be completed shortly,” explains Dr. Torsten Derr.

“We are grateful to Dr. Derr for talking to us early on and in a spirit of trust. This will allow us to take our time in arranging his succession. SGL Carbon can look back on three successful financial years, is financially strong and relies on a broad-based management team that continues to drive forward the expansion of the business in strong growth markets. In our appreciative discussions, Dr. Derr has promised to complete all important projects with his usual commitment until the handover of the CEO position,” says Prof. Dr. Frank Richter.

The Supervisory Board will immediately begin the search for a successor to Dr. Torsten Derr.

IVC Board: Stefan Braun succeeds Klaus Holz

The new chairman of the Industrievereinigung Chemiefaser e. V. is Stefan Braun, managing director of Indorama Ventures Mobility Obernburg GmbH.

Braun, who had already held the chair twice between 2014 and 2020, was elected in June 2023 at the IVC annual members' meeting in Lenzing, Austria. Klaus Holz, Managing Director of Indorama Ventures Fibers Germany GmbH, was not available for re-election after one term as IVC Chair and two previous terms as Vice-Chair.

The IVC General Assembly appointed Dieter Feldmann, Managing Director of CERDIA Produktions GmbH, as Deputy Chairman. He succeeds Werner Häller, COO of Monosuisse AG, who did not stand for this position. The previous Treasurer of the IVC, Dr. Till Boldt, Managing Director of ENKA International Lux SE & Co. KG, was confirmed in office for the fifth consecutive term.

All elections took place according to rotation. Deviating from the usual mandate of 3 years, the Board of Directors had itself elected for a shortened term until June 2024.

IVC Managing Director Dr Wilhelm Rauch will leave IVC after almost 22 years when his contract expires on 31 January 2024 and will take on new tasks. The chemist with a doctorate and REACH expert is looking forward to making his expertise available to companies across sectors in the future.

Bjørn Gulden to become CEO of adidas AG

The Supervisory Board of adidas AG resolved upon the succession for adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted. Effective January 1, 2023, Bjørn Gulden is appointed as member of the Executive Board and CEO of adidas AG. Kasper Rorsted and the Supervisory Board mutually agreed that he will step down as CEO and leave the company upon expiry of November 11, 2022. Harm Ohlmeyer, Chief Financial Officer of adidas AG, will lead the company in the interim until December 31, 2022. The Supervisory Board had announced a CEO transition on August 22, 2022.

Bjørn Gulden is 57 years old, Norwegian and has been CEO of Puma SE since 2013. Bjørn Gulden looks back at a tenure at adidas as, amongst others, Senior Vice President of Apparel and Accessories from 1992 to 1999. Additionally, he was CEO of Danish jewelry brand Pandora, Managing Director of footwear retailer Deichmann, President of Rack Room Shoes, and held various management positions at outdoor apparel company Helly Hansen. He also holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Salling Group, Denmark’s largest food retailer.

Stephan Sielaff appointed as new CEO of Lenzing AG

The Supervisory Board of Lenzing AG has appointed Stephan Sielaff, the former CTO/COO of Lenzing AG, as the new CEO effective April 01, 2022. He succeeds Cord Prinzhorn, who took over as interim CEO in the fourth quarter of 2021. Cord Prinzhorn will return to the Supervisory Board of Lenzing AG. The Managing Board will thus be reduced again from five to four members.

The Supervisory Board of Lenzing AG has appointed Stephan Sielaff, the former CTO/COO of Lenzing AG, as the new CEO effective April 01, 2022. He succeeds Cord Prinzhorn, who took over as interim CEO in the fourth quarter of 2021. Cord Prinzhorn will return to the Supervisory Board of Lenzing AG. The Managing Board will thus be reduced again from five to four members.

Stephan Sielaff holds a degree in chemical engineering and held various management positions at Unilever and Symrise from 1993 to 2014. Between 2014 and 2020, he was responsible for the strategic development of the company as a Member of the Board of Directors (COO) at the Swiss specialty chemicals company Archroma – an important supplier of the textile and paper industry. He was appointed Chief Technology Officer and COO of Lenzing AG as of March 01, 2020.

CFO Thomas Obendrauf has informed the Supervisory Board that he will not be available for a further extension of his contract, which expires in June 2022. The Supervisory Board of Lenzing AG is already working on a timely replacement. Mr. Obendrauf will be available to the company in an advisory capacity until a successor is appointed.

Peter Edelmann will leave the Supervisory Board upon his own request, effective April 26, 2022. Cord Prinzhorn will return to the Supervisory Board and will take over as Chairman.

Neuer Vorstand der GDH e.V.: Angela Breiter erste Frau an der Spitze der Hutbranche

Die Gemeinschaft Deutscher Hutfachgeschäfte e.V. (GDH) hat ein neues, ehrenamtliches Führungsteam, das einstimmig bei der Online-Mitgliederversammlung im Januar 2022 gewählt wurde. Fünf von sieben Mitgliedern sind neu dabei – auch die 1. Vorsitzende Angela Breiter (Jahrgang 1991). Die 30-Jährige führt zusammen mit ihrem Bruder Alexander Breiter in 5. Generation die drei Geschäfte des 1863 gegründeten Familienunternehmens Hut-Breiter mit Stammsitz in München.

Angela Breiter löst Andreas Voigtländer ab, der 24 Jahre lang die Geschicke der GDH leitete. Der jetzt 63-jährige Inhaber von Hut Mühlenbeck, Wiesbaden, wurde in der Mitgliederversammlung zum Ehrenvorsitzenden gewählt. Nach wie vor wird der Hutspezialist durch seine Expertise den Verband unterstützen und die Branchenumfragen der GDH betreuen.

2. Vorsitzende ist Siegfried Seidl (1972), Hut Mayer aus Neuötting, der viel Erfahrung durch sein achtjähriges Engagement im GDH-Vorstand mitbringt. Die beiden Vorstandsvorsitzenden werden durch den fünfköpfigen Vorstandsbeirat unterstützt. Neben Annette Wahl, die bereits seit zwei Wahlperioden als stellv. Vorsitzende aktiv war, haben sich vier neue Persönlichkeiten der Hutbranche erfolgreich zur Wahl gestellt:

  • Alexander Ehrhard (1985), Hut Streibich, Mainz
  • Sabine Falkenhagen (1964), Gebr. Hut Falkenhagen, Hamburg
  • Niko Paraschos (1968), Hut-Boutique, Arnsberg-Neheim
  • Helena Ruth Scarpone (1992), Hutsalon Ruth Stoll, Bad Säckingen
  • Annette Wahl (1968), Hut Nagel, Karlsruhe

Im Juni 2022 will sich die GDH zu einer zweiten Mitgliederversammlung treffen – diesmal persönlich – um motiviert den Neubeginn unter verjüngter Flagge die Zeit noch der Corona-Krise zu planen. Gemeinsam mit der GDH-Geschäftsführerin Kirsten Reinhardt stehen für 2022 verschiedene Aktivitäten an, beispielsweise die Kampagne zum `Internationalen Tag des Hutes´ am 25. November, an dem die GDH-Mitglieder den Titel `Hutträger des Jahres´ seit 2013 an prominente Persönlichkeiten verleihen.
